ColeyX3-I first started out buying only Cities and then thought about purchasing a twiggy I have several Twiggys now I just love that style and it holds as much as a city would and actually I prefer it over the city I can organize my stuff much better in it and its so darn cute

A lovely member just invited me (finally!!) and I just want to drop a quick hello to everyone. So excited to be a part of the community, after following it for quite sometime. On another note, I'm waiting for my latest order from the boys, a black GGH day. I just can't resist placing the order after seeing lovely pics of the leather. Will post pics when I got it!

What do you think about the new Chanel Catty post on her Picasa website ?? I thought some of them look amazing but I email her for the price and they are all 200$+++.... do you think it's fair for a Chanel Flap or exaggerate ? I can't decide

I believe they do have black leather left but I'm guessing it may not last since HandbagDiva's pictures show how insanely GORGEOUS it is and I think this is the leather a lot of us have been wanting for years (jet black and thin)!!

I think Catty's flaps are pretty good. I bought a reissue hybrid at $175 and it's very pretty and structured. I'm not sure about the $200+ ones. But I would prefer to spend that on a catty rep with pictures like that than less on iffy photos.

only because lovedbychanel asked as she is the authority on all things LV/patina, here's a few pics.

The first one shows the homemade patina on my speedy40. pay no attention to the strap, it's something that came of recently- i wanted it to be slung crossbody/messenger style and bring on a bit of satchel-ness to something that would be otherwise a handle carried bag. (im thinking the strap from the graphite tadao would be a nicer more permanent fit- double duty!).
it's nowhere as nice as LBC's patina but it just shows that it can be done, it was a fairly old bag too that was forgotten in my closet for a year or two, and I took it out, give it some color and re-fell in love with it all over again.

The second pic (i figured i'd just group it all into one) is just a comparison of my graphite keepall 45 and my mono keepall 45, since there was some mention as of late about keepalls in general. they get used a lot and are great for little getaways.

purecharm- welcome! great to see another guy around. just make sure you keep in mind size with your keepall/future purchases, not all keepalls were made in every size, i believe graphite was only made in the 45 and 55.

And its true that waiting for bags from the boys is always exciting -- I will never know what to truly expect before I see it for myself. The leather, the smell, saturation and other tidbits is quite different for each batch as we all know. but I guess this time the black is the way to go.

feeclochette201 : I think the boys have a little bit of black leather from this current batch left, since I just placed my order 2 days ago, but they may not be able to accommodate all styles. I think it's doesn't hurt to ask them directly. And if you missed this one, they're doing another black batch soon, just not sure how that one will look like..

ColeyX3 : I totally agree that twiggy is awesome style and holds a lot, and it has a better slouch than a city if you kwim. ooh, and looks uber cute, especially in a pop of color

Are her new Chanels all that expensive? Outch!
It's all so confusing! I just want a nice Chanel bag but I can't even see whether Catty or Jacky's are better, let alone pick between Catty's hundreds of bags on her annoying Picasa website.

I have no idea what bag looks good and what bag is a bad knockoff, or which ones are the same model but different qualities and prices. Aaarrrgh! Damn you rep world.

I took those pictures with my IPhone so the quality is not as it best , sorry But it's just to give you a rough idea of the shiniest.....other than that I love the bag , great size , nice color (a little bit to blue but..)

I asked to boys about the black leather so I'm crossing my fingers


As for Catty's flap, I might give them a shot , I'm craving for a caviar one and they do looks nice on the pictures... (but it's still 250$ an even 300$ for some of them )

Hi girls! Tonight I was just going over my nbf bags and I've always leave out praline and raisin from my bag rotation because the leather is so dry and puffy. I've never gotten around to get leather revive. So as I was just going thru the house to find whatever leather conditioner we had I saw in the back of the bottle that it had aloe Vera and glycerin. It just gave me the idea to use aloe gel (ones for after waxing) onthe bag. And boy!! It did smooth out some of the viney bits and even soften up the leather!!!

I tried it on the praline first and did not take pics. I'll have to try on my raisin tomorrow and record the difference. Hopefully after a few application it'll look the way I want it to!!

i have praline and raisin and conditioned them about 4-5 times the leather went softer BUT its still very wrinkly and puffy and bumpy not pretty .. praline is not as bad as my rasin, i dnt think im ever going to wear that bag what were your outcomes on the raisin ?

PinkPrincess-I would like something like the "ruby" not much yellow in it definitely not brownish or muddy looking just a clean deep red with alot of blue in it
