I would LOVE Vert d'eau over papeete, But i didnt think it was an option. I have wanted that sea foam pastel green forever, but the oppurtunity never seemed to rear its gorgeous head! Is this re-release of VD the exact same as the one before? if not that would explain why they are doing papeete as they have a swatch from Coco.
Do they still have the swatch from the run of VD that they have done before? who knows maybe they might run it again if they have enough of us? Anything is possible..right?

I agree with this. I'd also much rather have Vert D'eau instead of Papeete. I actually also really love Maldives. I'm "on the fence" regarding putting my name down for Papeete....really wishing for VDE...

OMG! Me too! I'm pretty sure I'd be up for something in Vert d'eau (yeah, that's right, me! getting a Bal!) and I would prefer vert d'eau to papeete. As BBS said, if Bal is doing it again, why wouldn't T&D? If the boys said no way then papeete would for sure be my second choice. And only for a Twiggy - of course still holding out for a pre-loved vert d'eau, bordeaux, or apple green Twiggy. I mean, I've had enough stupid pre-loved boyfriends, isn't it time I got a bag? Also since there are so many Argent lovers, have they said they would definitely not do Argent again? The beauty of that last run was the quality of the leather, so if they could replicate their own bags, how awesome would that be? *listen, just 'cause I don't buy them doesn't mean I don't pay attention or appreciate the colours/leather/quality.

I think papeete with RH will look a little less bright, but yes my heart does belong to VD..it always has and always will.

Vert D'eau is lovely and Balenciaga is re-releasing Vert D'eau this fall but I doubt it will be the same color of the previous Vert D'eau. We had a long list with Vert D'eau last year and T&D never made the color and there was much interest. They may make it at some time in the future who knows. Here is a comparison of my T&D Vert D'eau Work and my Authentic Papeete Day. I actually love both colors. Papeete cannot be compared to Vert D'eau. One is pistachio green and the other is a more intense Sea Green. They are both beautiful in their own right. I think that there is room for both in a collection.


jaydotcee: T&D has to send the swatches to a tannery in Italy to be made. I think that they will have the leather in late May at the earliest.
We may have our bags in July sometime as they have hired their own workers and are making the bags themselves as opposed to contracting different
factories to make the bags.

papeete is so pretty and yes so different from VD, it will defintley quench my VD and maldive thirst..thanks Coco And if the boys ever do re-run or run a new VD I'll get that as well.

Yes, I sent them a Noix coin purse. They have a very large piece of leather with which to work. I also sent them Canard swatch, Olive Swatch, Papeete swatch and Canard Velo. They are set to make your bags. I hope that they make Canard in the fall for all you Gals. Canard is amazing.

The Velo comes in Sahara, Cyclade, Sorbet, Anthracite, Castagna, Canard, Light Olive (I got my Light Olive Day Bag and she is TDF), Moutarde, Sang, Outremer and Black. The leather is amazing and the Light Olive is so beautiful. You guys are going to love this color when you get it from T&D.
It is simply amazing.

I have to confess that I'm really sad if papeete takes over what would have been another vert d'eau run...I know the boys never confirmed they'd make it again...but since Bal is doing it again, why wouldn't they? Have you SEEN ame_sparkle's GGH VD City? It's a heavenly little bag. I'm guessing papeete only comes in RH or GSH? We need more GGH!!! Just my 2 cents as usual. I wish someone had comparison pics of vert d'eau and papeete because they really aren't all that similar. Vert d'eau is a very muted green. It's not a bright color.....

I actually think papeete is a tacky looking colour (NO OFFENSE, this means tacky FOR ME) and would much rather get VD over papeete

katinboots nope sorry T&D has not made sahara nor have they confirmed it I would think the closest you could get to sahara would be T&D's praline or sandstone.. neither of which are sahara but kind of in the same family.

i believe jacky's bow bag is off, but i forgot how so. malena mentioned it ages ago (and she physically had the bag).

SO many decisions to make...i am almost sure i want two velos (one black and probably outremer). i just know i'll use both to death as they're perfect for running around the city. i also know i want an olive RH city, and possibly a neutral RH city? thoughts?

Has anyone received a black bag from T&D recently? if so, can you please tell me how it compares to the outremer leather? or what leather does the black compare to? I just don't want to get a thick bubbly leather bag TIA
