Also please check this photo of Vert D'eau Bal Bags. If you check closely you can see that the Giant City has silver hardeware so the Giant City Vert D'eau is definitely being made in GSH. Also, I would not worry so much about a bag being a Franken bag. Balenciaga only made sorbet folk for Printemps Paris in limited version. Most people don't know this information so if they saw one with a Folk Bag in sorbet they would most likely think it was a rep but Balenciaga did make them, just not for the Bal Stores.

dangermouse: Sorry, my bad. I did call my Balenciaga Rep and she confirmed with me that Vert D'eau 2010 is being done in Giant Silver Hardware in the Giant Day, Giant City, Giant Part Time and Giant Work.

If anyone wishes to order the styles in GSH please note that they are being made for Fall 2010. Please also note that Vert D'eau Velo w/RH is made by Balenciaga this Fall 2010.

Not at all. In fact out of all three of my usual suppliers, Jacky is by far the quickest to both respond to my emails and to ship. Show him a bit of Bag Love and he's most pleasant to deal with. Be a pain in the ****, and well... you know.

shelleybean, thanks for the recs.. but i dont think twiggy style works for me... i feel really awkward with small styles... and thinking of getting the Day/Work... but am actually undecided on the hardwares... 3 combo for each.. RH, GSH, GGH!
I think I might settle for a Day RH and a Work GSH/GGH or a Day GSH/GGH and a Work RH.. or or or ... LOL.. Still undecided!!

In any way, my Sunday Tote has arrived.. and as promised.. here are the pictures.. the leather is awesome.. and I've just given this bag a coat of Apple Care and a layer of spray of Apple Garde.
and i'm still resisting the lure of the gorgeous nude Alexa. LOL!

pixellated: Welcome back!!! My vote is definitely vert d'eau GGH Day and RH Work. The Work in this color is so gorgeous with RH...it doesn't need anything to dress it up, it's just perfect! The way the leather puddle...just....wow. I think the Day looks great with GGH and it really pops against this color. I'm getting one bc I fell in love with it from seeing pics in the now infamous tpf thread where the NBF VD GGH Day was thought to be authentic. Whatever you decide, I think you'll be happy because the color is so fantastic!!

kaygirl, there is a slightly scaly texture to the trim on the alexa, but it's not awful. However, I can understand what you mean by getting past the whole snake thing LOL!

The nude alexa is a pain to get things in and out of especially compared to all the NBF bags I'm used to carrying, but it is just so gorgeous, it's worth the hassle.

I am waiting on VD gsh day now (can't remember if I mentioned that), but I'm really excited to see sorbet!! I have already picked out at least two styles I want!! And thank you, coco, for sending yours to the boys!

ViaSarah, eskielvr, the siren: I am terribly sorry but I have decided that I won't be buying a folk bag. Unfortunately the bag is too small for my needs. It holds less than a city and a Sunday tote. The measurements are 12" wide by 10inches high by 4 inches deep. I cannot get a bag this small and pay $1100 for it. I am sorry to everyone who wanted this bag but it is just too small for me. I have a lot of flap bags and they need to be considerably larger to carry my stuff. Apologies to all.
