Does Jacky (or any other seller) have a good version of the regular Alexa in the shiny leopard? I have one of Jacky's old site addresses so I'm not too sure what his Alexa offerings are...

Zooey, I did the loop on the strap when I first got j's Alexa but found that it kinda changes the look of the bag when I did. It didn't slouch like it should, what with it being the oak n the leather being stiff. So I got like 7 holes punched into the strap n think that it loksbetter that way. It's a dream to carry. I was sitting on the fence with getting a flap bag s I was thinking getting in n out would be a hassle but it's not. The long strap distributes the weight well n it doesn't slip off my shoulders. That's a huge plus when I'm busy running after my toddler n need to carry her at the shopping centres. Plus. With it being a flap n needing to turn the buckle, it keeps prying hands away, esp at crowded areas. I'm now thinking of getting the nude.

The Nude Alexa is very soft and doesn't hold its shape as well as the Oak. The lambskin (?) is untreated and has no glaze on it. Think of it as NBF's untreated Bal leather with no sheen on it. Because of this, I think it will stain more easily than the Oak.

I am 5ft 3" and the Regular size looks ok. I've seen modelling pics of OS in TPF and I think if you're 5ft 7" and above, it will look great on you. But I may be biased, since I don't carry bags larger than Bal City size.

With the Regular, I've to pack my belongings into the bag carefully and use my smaller bag organiser so there's more space. All A4 documents have to be folded in half or they won't fit into the bag.

Ultimately, it depends on what you carry on a daily basis. I will take pics for you on Thursday to show what I can fit into the City and what I can fit into the Regular.

no, he doesn't. he had the smudge print leopard bayswaters and another style (i forget atm), but never had leopard alexas. :flower:

beavercall - i'm vert d'eau with envy you got to hang out with T&D!! glad you had a great time and they sound like such gentlemen :flower:

kimair - i have both os and regular and for an everyday bag, the OS is much better to carry your belongings than the regular. the regular is a great bag for running errands, etc but can't hold what i need to for work. i do find that the regular is easier to carry crossbody though.

VD looks amazing everyone!!!!

Congrats to all the gals who got VDs! I'm in love, I need a lighter bag.. just not sure if VD is for me, and what style I would get it in. An RH City I suppose would be best..

The python alexa was really difficult for me to get in and out of.. also I was paranoid about the "scales" peeling off. I'm just not gentle enough. I would recommend an OS alexa for everyday- it's not really OS. The regular size Alexa is best if you intend on using it for light days and you don't want to carry much.

Also regarding the Pom- T&D won't make the Pom, lots of gals have begged for it but they won't do it... just like they won't do the town. They don't have auth patterns to work off of :( But the mini Pom is cute!

Bummer! I guess I'll have to hope to snag a used one at some point. You'd think that T&D would make enough money from bags like the Pom and the Town that it would be worth the investment of purchasing one from which to make the pattern (especially as they could presumably sell the authentic one later), but what do I know?

the only thing stopping me from snagging an alexa is that getting in and out of it seems like a PITA. same with the ps1, which is why i've refrained. i can't imagine buckling and undoing the buckles every time i am getting in and out of my bag.

that nude alexa leather is dreamy.

In all honesty the alexa is a real PITA to get in and out of, but it does have magnetic closures. However my OCD prevents me from just allowing the magnet to catch. I have to make sure it's completely snapped in. But the leather is indeed TDF! I love the bag!!

Has anyone ordered Jacky's "Prada bag 3031" ???

It looks gorgeous and the leather looks divine. Opinions?? :flower:

Kimair: I have the os and love it! OS is kind of an exaggeration, it's more like slightly-bigger-than-normal :D

Think of the regular like the kind of bag you'd put wallet, couple bits of make up and phone in. OS is good if you have to cart anything more. That said I think a bal city is the smallest bag I could possibly ever carry :)

Did Jacky change website? I keep getting "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)". The last time I went on there was 2 weeks ago.

I think they only repeat colors if it is really demanded. For instance amethyst was one of the more popular colors which is the reason why they did a re-run last year (same with vert d'eau) :). T&D hasn't done tempete yet but last year they did blue layette. But, their blue layette wasn't close to the auth it was their own shade of BL (a mix between BL and tempete which people called it blempete :D). Their BL looks like a washed out tempete IMO.

Hi ViaSarah!

Thanks for your response! I would love to have a Tempete GSH day or city. I wonder if people here are interested? I wonder if T&D would do it? Pics from the other forum look so great to me! I've actually been looking for the auth for awhile, but they seem to be quite rare and when they do show up they're incredibly overpriced.

Here are some pics that show why I'm so in love with Tempete! :)

I think it looks really great in the Day style, but couldn't find a pic to represent it well enough (the modeling pics over on that forum are what sold me, but I'd feel bad posting their modeling pics here;) )

^ I love this colour and I think there is another name for it, Storm. I asked T&D whether will they be making it and they said it's not possible. If there is a demand, am sure they will try to look for the leather.

For those interested in the new Colors for the Alexa Jacky wrote to me that he will be making the Alexa in the new colors which are Grape, plum as well as Mixed Cairhalf Camel. He is making all of them in the large size though he may make smaller ones in the future. The Grape and Plum will be available in twenty days. The new sparkle tweed is beautiful as well.

Jacky is also making a new bag called the Margaret bag which has a crest on the front flap of the bag.

Coco109, what is the name of the colour with the Sparkly heart attached to it?

It is called sparkle tweed - it is basically tweed with added sparkles and the tan color shown is called powder. You can see in the Mulberry Spec pictures that I posted all the colors which they are making in the Alexa this Fall 2010.

Jacky is also making the Daria Satchel in Gray.

I can't decide on the grape or plum but think that I am leaning towards the plum.
