... j's Alexa but found that it kinda changes the look of the bag when I did. It didn't slouch like it should, what with it being the oak n the leather being stiff.

It seemed that Jacky's regular oak and black Alexa is made out of pigskin, not buffalo leather like the real deal. It is thinner, has smaller grain, and it also has the distinct three dots pattern CMIIW. It won't slouch no matter how hard i conditioned them

lovemode: I have a Jacky Alexa and an Authentic Alexa in Oak. The leather is most certainly not the same but the Jacky Alexa is a rep and there is no way any replica maker can use the same materials and give you a low price for a bag. I don't think that the bag will slouch from conditioning it no matter how you try. It is only going to slouch when you wear it/carry it alot as the bag has to be broken in for it to soften and slouch. I don't have any three dot pattern on my Jacky Alexa but I find the leather to be grainy. The only way for you to get the bag to slouch is to wear it all the time.

In all honesty the alexa is a real PITA to get in and out of, but it does have magnetic closures. However my OCD prevents me from just allowing the magnet to catch. I have to make sure it's completely snapped in. But the leather is indeed TDF! I love the bag!!

this is good to know!

i am placing a large jacky order soon, so we'll see if the alexa gets the best of me.

Yup Coco! the price is indeed like 1/10th of the real thing!
it just that my Mulberry Mabel hobo (and the Bays too) from Jacky has thick supple cow leather, i had too high of expectation of the Alexa
but the regular Alexa is a much smaller bag, so maybe Jacky thought it would be better with pigskin.

Coco, i think your batch of Alexa has different type of leather from mine.. Is it the OS size?

Very few members here still give out his website information because it has been posted here MANY times that if you have Jacky's email, you can find his site. You can do a simple search and find the instructions on how to find it. Also, it's against our thread's rules to keep posting and requesting seller info (see page one of the thread where the rules are posted). If Jacky's site does change again, it's so much easier to simply use his email so please save it!

muffintoppp: I haven't experienced any color transfer on my VD. I have a pair of dark jeans that transfers on to the leather of one of my LV bags every time I carry it, but the same jeans did nothing to my VD City last night when I carried it and had it on my lap! It's too gorgeous a color to pass up!! I say go for it! Protect it with something and then use it and love it!!!

carta, pinkprincess, foudefalalala, Thank you!!! I feel quite nerdly for how much I love a sack of leather.... Really though, I was NOT expecting the leather to be this good..... I didn't even know it was possible!

When my bags came my City's handles were a little funky (see pic a few pages back) from shipping so I put three cans in it (lined up across the bottom) and hung it from my hubby's pull-up bar. An hour later the handles looked great! It's a really easy way to shape your handles!

Anyone else think a galet RH City could be the perfect nuetral? I would love a sahara City or seigle City but I think I could settle for a really pretty gray...

lovelovemode: I am sorry that the leather on your bag is not to your liking.
I suggest you stop conditioning it and start carrying it. Some bags just have to be carried to become the way you want and no amount of conditioning is going to change that. I have no idea what kind of leather Jacky uses on his small and the large sized one. The picture I posted in my earlier post was of my Authentic Alexa and not my Jacky Alexa. I do think that if you check my earlier posts where I compare the bags and put them side by side they are really quite close though the leather on my Authentic is beyond compare.

I think you are right. I am really wanting a neutral bag for those days when my outfit calls for it. I would love a seigle city, but perhaps, like you, I'll settle for a galet rh city. I'm just waiting to see real pics of it

bonne tempete indeed is a gorgeous stormy blue color. But I think it's highly unlikely for T&D to do an old bal color unless someone has a swatch and sends it to them . Though I wish they would take a break from new the new colors.

I knew that jacky's reg alexa wasn't buffalo but didn't know that it was made out of pigskin. Is that why the reg alexa looks/feel so stiff? But isn't jacky's OS made out of buffalo though?

lovelovemode - My regular alexa is exactly the same! My Alexa has the '3 dots' thang goin on too. It's my 4th oak Alexa (don't ask) and they have all been the same. I wondered what the crack was....
In pics an auth Alexa and Js look the same. But IRL you can see and feel the difference. Good call!

Lovelovemode, girl, you really know your leathers. I ran to my bag n was straining to see the 3 dots. Like coco109 said, just use your Alexa. I've been using it for a month straight n it's really soften up. It's just the flap which is a bit stiffer compared to the whole bag.

Bbs, I paid for a galet city rh. I love how the other hardware look with galet but I'm just aiming for a low key neutral bag. Rh n galet, don't think you can get any more neutral than that.

Jacky's Alexa is not made of Buffalo leather. Buffalo leather is very expensive and you could purchase it at the pricepoint which Jacky has for his Alexa. I would not expect a rep bag to feel like the real deal. Though I will say that Jacky's Alexa does soften with use. I don't have any three dot thing going on with my Oversized Alexa at all. Mine is just grainy leather.
