Here are photos of my new Jacky Alexa Hobo Oak. I really like the bag alot and it is quite roomy. I like the front pocket as it makes things like cell phones and ipods accessible. I like the hobo as the weight of what is carried does not rest on the postman lock so the lock will remain secure on the front pocket. These pictures are taken in natural light.

it seems that both of you have straps that measure 24.5" in total while mine measures 23" in total. it's so weird...especially because it happened twice in a row. i wonder if they've started to shorten ALL their city straps??? have any other black/vert d'eau City owners had this problem?

i know 1.5" may not seem like a big deal, but IRL my strap is really short. it makes the bag hang too high. i'm going to email T&D again and see what they say. i hope they don't think i'm crazy - but i feel like i (and anyone else in my position) deserve the same quality NBF as everyone else. they are known for their good customer service, so this should be simple to fix.

Hey guys, I've bought a Chanel medium flap bag in caviar from Jacky last year, but the clasp has come off, so I want to buy a new one from him, and I have his email address, but he won't reply! Has he changed his email address? I know he has changed his website, last one I had was the one that started "as200..."!

So as I am a legitimate customer, I would love to keep up to date, especially as I want to replace my Chanel.

I was otherwise very impressed by it (and so have many of my friends) but the clasp just came off in hot weather (glue melted), so I would want a replacement from the man himself!

kmmcormi - as long as j's evelyne is the rep and not the auth, i would say it looks VERY good. same with all of his H bags with the exception of birkins and some of the kelly pochettes. outside of that i feel his H bags are very believable on the right person, though i have never held one/examined it irl.

Figured out how to use his email to find his site, so no help needed!

Might go for the PS1 in natural instead of replacing the Chanel...actually I'm thinking of getting the real thing anyway..it is an investment...a hefty one, but rather sooner than later cause Chanel keep just increasing their prices!

The GH bags turn out to be horrible fakes. But the RH cities they sold around June turns out to be fakes too, so good that they fooled some of the authenticators. And the ladies at the 'authenticate' thread were refusing to authenticate these rh cities until they know more about the bags.. The main differences were in the paper tag (color instead of leather type), and some very minor differences in the bale, etc.

I think you're probably right that they were all fake.... Bal denied selling to or being affiliated with Koodos.... I'm curious though, what makes you think the RH Citys from Koodos are better than NBF's? NBFs have been authenticated there too and I think it would happen much more often it this thread didn't exist. A lot of the people who authenticate on tpf only know how to spot an NBF because of the info from this thread. I think this is a good thing because I too am disturbed and disgusted when reps are sold as auth...and T&D don't do correct serial numbers for a reason! They don't want their bags sold as auth either (which is why the whole idea of "correcting the serial numbers" is so absurd ). I'm just wondering what exactly you think is better about the Citys from Koodos? Even if they are better though, I can't complain....those women were paying over $1000 for fakes... I'm happy to pay 1/4 of that!

Shelleybean: Congrats on your first Bal Day and Twiggy!! I'm so glad you like your bags! But uh, newsflash! You have 3 Bals, you're officially a Bal convert and if you don't realize that now, you're just in denial! You're not as nutso as I am yet though! I have been styling my outfit choices around my VD bags so I don't have to carry anything else. I can't help it! I'm slightly obsessed...

I ended up deciding not to get the LV Manhattan. Every single seller who carries it has the flawed version. I don't know that a really good rep of that bag exists. I think my LV collection is probably complete now. I have a beautiful azur bag, a perfect Damier Speedy and a couple others that are really good... I rarely use any of them though! I just feel happier when I carry a Bal!

Vivian My GH City's strap is exactly 25" including HW when pulled taut and my RH City's strap is 24 1/4" including HW when pulled taut. So neither are 100% perfect, but I was measuring EXACTLY and very carefully. Both are close enough to 24 1/2 that I'm happy. I think it's perfectly acceptable to ask for a replacement strap that's longer. I would care about 1 1/2" too! It would affect where the bag hangs in relation to my body... T&D may have a suggestion for you though like having it stretched ofr something... Hopefully it'll get all squared away and you'll have a longer strap soon!

the RH city bags from Koodos definitely better than T&D IMO..the bales, the handles, the leather, all look great.. i still can hardly believe that they are fake..see this Charbon City RH for example. pics from tpf.

the handles look off to me. and the leather is just meh at best. the word 'unremarkable' comes to mind.
it doesn't really compare to my latest batch black rh city--perfect handles, perfect bales, perfect leather, perfect everything...and that's just the black batch. the new vert d'eau batch is out. of. this. world insane. perfect ggh, perfect o rings, perfect handles...and still just a quarter of the price of those exorbitantly over priced koodos's.

jacky, catty, marcia, b&s, koodos or whatever they're called...no matter how cheap or expensive they are, they still don't compare to nbf.

no one saying they will pay 1k (or whatever koodos is charging) for those "fake". of course our nbf is great, for around 200, you can get an amazing bal rep from NBF. so dont bring the price in here.
i still dont believe those bags are fake (like cloudyblue). though that specific bag was posted above has bad leather, just like some other bad real bals out there. BUT, have to agree, myself, think those are darn good to be reps.

i've been checking out the chatter about Koodos.. and just thought they looked like fang's new batch of SGH / GGH Bals on taobao. has anyone seen them? it looked perfect to me, too good to be true! dipped bales, perfect handles, leather, colour, etc.

anyone brave enough to buy one? it's about 250-300 USD if purchased off taobao, 100-200USD less than on ioffer! PM me for the addy.

the leather could be personal preference, but those textures are very much like my friend's auth bals and the new season bags i've seen in store here. perfect handles from t&d latest batch? yes, seen a lot. perfect bales from t&d? havent seen one yet, neither their RH nor GH.

yes! the handles SCREAM fake. i am not one to pick apart a bag in public, but a simple glance at the handles would clue me in on this bag in a heartbeat. as far as the leather, well, many auth bals DO have "unremarkable" leather, for sure.
