yes, they are flat and the sides tuck in without any clipping or fussing

Amethyst_sparkle, I went ahead and got Catty's Chanel 2.55. It's as beautiful and perfect. I love it. I was afraid yours would be the one off perfect from her. Thanks for the tip. Initially when I got it I wondered if the mark on the c logo was standard. I don't see it in some of her pictures but I see it in your red Chanel, which by the way is soooo gorgeous!

Which SC did you get?


Bal will no longer make GGH except for black I think so my PT VD GGH need feet; T&D said they will mail it to me no prob . Can you please tell me the differences in mirror and inside pocket from '07 to present ones?

The mirrors no longer have the pocket on the back and the pockets are deeper. Also, the silver tags on RH bags are no longer actual silver like they used to be. Bal's price keeps going up while they cut corners wherever possible. My new RH Work doesn't have feet either but since it's RH it can be the '10 VD... I'm glad T&D are sending you gold feet (hehe) and I hope it's a quick fix!

ame: Your new Chanels are fab! You def do have fantastic luck with reps. They are simply gorgeous and I'm so glad you've come to love Chanel! I do think lambskin is easy to mark up...caviar is a much tougher leather and doesn't need to be babied as much.

i thought u mean bal wont release vd anymore as expected. and didnt know they stll make ggh for nlack. i heard no more ggh, and replace ny rose gold. oh well

After some correspondence, Jacky agreed to exchange my alexa - however, shipping back to China is extremely expensive. For anyone that has shipped a bag back to China - do you use USPS priority mail international or just bite the bullet for international express? If you went the priority mail route - how long did it take? I'm too afraid to use first class/airmail as I've heard horror stories of packages not being delivered for months and being lost/stolen.

Cherish, back when I used to hunt for bags on ioffer from random sellers I had to return things to China so that my credit card chargebacks would be made. I spent about $30 on some stuff, using priority mail. Make sure you can track it though! I don't think using a flat rate box gives you tracking automatically to China. I knew some of the bags weren't worth $30 but I did this out of principle.

The Louis Vuitton SC Bag comes in Monogram Canvas, Asphalt Suede, Cobalt and Jasper Leather only.
I love this in Cobalt. I would be as concerned about the colour of the lining as I am about T&D's GGH not being yellow enough. (which means, not really) I hope this doesn't stop anyone from getting this bag because it's truly stunning. I think the size (between a Speedy 35 & 40?) is just right for anyone of any stature. How many SC bags in Cobalt or Jasper have you seen in person on the street and what percentage of the time do you think you will be seated next to someone at a restaurant or wherever that has the exact same bag? *furthermore, what on earth would make you assume the bags you have seen were authentic. (I say this because there was some discussion a while back about this lining issue and I hope we don't have to go into it again)
Since I brought that up:
Those of you who have friends that "carry the real deal"..... Were you with your friend when he/she purchased their bags? Did they buy them from the actual boutique or department store? If they were an internet find, can anyone ever assume what they're buying is real? Secondly, If one of my friends is on this forum and I don't know about it, they are likely to say.. "my friend carries the real deal so she'll be able to tell if my bag is fake"..... Really? You sure about that pumpkin?

There is a reason we have screen names. I mean seriously, if I wanted people to know I carry fakes I would have put my real name, address & phone number above that picture of my idol, Patsy Stone.
I guess I'm just trying to say that one should always be cautious when assuming that those close to them are carrying authentic bags. (shouldn't that be in a fortune cookie, maybe?) It is an assumption that mine are real, so I always take that to go both ways.

I'm glad we had this little Hermes discussion a while back. I am still after a Lindy, Massai or large Picotin. Raisin Massai, Poussiere Lindy and a Blue Jean or Vert Anis Picotin - oh, and maybe something in Etoupe as well. Still trying to work on how I will pass off a $5000 Lindy as authentic. I "apparently" spend more on little authentic accessories like scarves, keychains, belts, shoes because I would rather appear that I spent $350 on a silk scarf and $650 on a pair of shoes than $2950 on a little tiny sack of leather. It just has a more realistic tone to it.

Did anyone get a VD PT GGH? I just received mine and it doesn't have feet. but it should since VD's with GGH are '07 and Bal aren't going to make VD GGH anymore? Right?

If you don't mind, can you post mod pics of your VD? I'm still deciding whether or not I should buy the PT. I tried searching for VD GGH PT on PF but no one seems to have it.

cherish - is your alexa lock wobbly and that's why you're returning it to j? i think you should save yourself some hassle and just ask j for a replacement lock. read a few posts back on how i described you can change the lock youself. the leather on your alexa looks lovely.

just got my galet day rh! the color is definitely a taupish gray and very smooth
