I must disagree, I own a black PT from buy/sell and the leather is one of the best I have really really amazing, not stiff at all! the pictures don't do it justice it does look shiny that is because of the flash but IRL it is a gorgeous bag,

Baga-I have checked Tracy's RGGH out a while ago that is on my to get list

that's good to know because judging by just the pictures it does look very shiny and i don't know...i've had horrible experience where something looks shiny in picture but is so much worse in persons so i jumped to conclusions.

My Anthra RH City and Outremer GSH giant money arrived today and in four days FLAT! The boys shipped Monday and it was in and out of customs yesterday in three hours
Both are spectacular! I love the wallet so much I've got an Amethyst GSH giant money on its way to me as well with my Noix RH Part Time

This Anthra batch is the same as the recent Vert D'eau/Galet/Sorbet leathers: very soft, supple, and medium thickness.
I took comparison shots of the '10 Anthra RH City with my '07 Anthra Brief and '09 Anthra GGH City and you can see that '10 and '07 have blue undertones while the '09 batch from last September is a true charcoal steel grey (almost black).

I agree with you crystal..My gray B+S RH work and my NBF Anthra RH work are probably my best/fave Bal reps. I them both.
Glad Chupi and i were able to help with our rocco stud chat!
I am interested in what Kimair and Pinkprincess think of Tracy's Rose Gold hardware tho. I have only seen rose gold on black bals in person at Barneys and pictures of pinkprincess + Kimairs...which is a little slice of heaven..and Kimairs anthra is breathtaking..
I do like rose gold...it's very nice

Bagalicious: I love rose gold hardware. My holy Grail woud be a giant day with rose gold hardware. I have only seen canard and castagna giant days with rose gold hardware. I am still searching for the perfect combo for me.

Cathy's look too gold, and Jackys are ever so slightly too lacquered, a little too brass. Someone over on tpf described the studs as:

"The studs are brass with a gold tone, but not what I'd consider gold like Bal GGH. The studs are truly brassy...they almost look kind of vintagey. They're definitely not a bright shiny gold like GGH."

And more importantly Jacky's leather is amazing, exactly like the thinner pebbly leather used in the auth

the bagandsell bags looks close after checking out the pics on their site and my authentic...the hardware on mine isn't so shiny around the top edge, if that makes sense...
and it's hard to tell from the pics if the feet are the same size as the hardware on the front of the bag...

coco i've seen a seigle RGGH day too but as i recall i don't think you are much of a brown bag person when it comes to bals?

buyandsell's rggh black work looks awful. i just checked all the detailed pics. i do not think the leather will even come close even after conditioning, you can tell it's a fake. i would say nbf's black leather would work with rggh but definitely not B+S's type of leather. the 2010 black rggh leather is jet black and luscious, thick and distressed on all black rgghs i have seen, including mine.

in direct sunlight or even natural lighting, my thimbles do not look that shiny, they have a cool steel gunmetal grey look to it.

also the thimbles are pressed so tightly in that it looks like it hurts, you can pretty much see it indented in there. not sure what's up with that.

i would pass on buyandsell's and wait for NBF's, i'm sure they will get enough orders in the future!!

pinkprincess- I have several of buy&sells bags ...the leather is gorgeous I have a black one as well and it is not shiny IRL the leather is like my magenta city that I bought from fangfang superb

Thanks for your opinions Kimair and Pinky ...interestingly enough you both have VERY different takes on it....I can only vouch for the leather on my one buy and sell bag and it is as good as my 5 NBF'S....As Crystal has said as well.
Anyway..I am not buying anything from either ..I was just letting members know who wanted rose gold NOW that there was another option out there.

Bagalicious: I would love a Murier Giant Rose Gold Hardware day but
I am not sure it is even made. I am going to start researching as I have
only seen the Giant day Murier with rh an gsh.

Pinkprincess: I love browns but I am not big on Siegle. I had a Siegle Folk bag and returned it. I now have a Castagna Folk bag which I love so I would like the Giant Day bag with rose gold in another color. I am considering Murier. If I don't find a Giant Rose Gold Murier Day I will wait, with the popularity of the Rose Gold Hardware Bal is sure to release other colors with Rose Gold Hardware next year.

My sister received Jacky's AW Darcy Hobo today and the hardware is completely off. It's way too gold (not distressed) and the O-rings that attach the handle are too big and just wrong. I have an authentic one and the differences are pretty obvious IMO. She's majorly bummed.

That's awful! I think I could deal with the stud colour being slightly off, as metal ages differently with time, as long as the hardware is the exact right size

Other than those two differences what do you think?
