Black GRGH Works are ready!

Hi girls,

T&D asked me to tell you the black GRGH work bags are ready and will leave tomorrow. They say they look fabulous!:D I will ask for a pic.

uiggu - your first is BDR, not lilac. They don't have lilac leather to begin with, and they certainly wouldn't make lilac gsh firsts when they've never been made before. That would be a franken bag. To be honest, my BDR first arrived similarly. But it was really simple to fix. It's just a matter of re-screwing in the studs. bam. fixed. I was out the door in 10 mins.
also, what T&D are trying to do is save you from being disappointed a second time around. If you think your first is lilac, you're going to think the city is too. Trust me, I have four different BDR pieces, with a fifth sitting at the post office until monday morning. They're all from the same batch of leather. BDR is just like every other color-- it appears differently in different lighting. Indoors, mine look very dark pink and lilac-y. Outdoors during the day, they look white. And at night, they look pink-white. The pictures you took look identical to mine.
So if you absolutely 100% do not like the color out in broad daylight or indoors, you won't like the city.

100% agreed with Amethyst on this one.

Uiggiu, maybe instead of slamming them on the forums, you should've tried to work it out amicably, first, instead of posting the entire thread of your conversation.

I myself, can account for SEVERAL amazing transactions from NBF - and yes, there have been issues before, and they've always done their best to resolve it. I am sure that they would send you replacement parts and whatnot to get your bag fixed, but it seems as if you are not even happy with the color of the bag, so replacing it for another style in the same leather would just result in you being disappointed again.

If BDR is the color you've wanted most from them, and you feel theirs isn't up to par, then buying authentic is always an option.

I'd be the first to go to bat for NBF - they always aim to please, and if pleasing certain customers isn't possible, they are always honest.

Anyways - that is just MY take on things.

Daft - the leather on my black Sunday tote is soooo nice... if it's anything like that, you surely won't be disappointed.

Hi, I've not been around for a couple of years. Nice to see somethings don't change T&D with excuses..bale probs and colour issues:). Anyhow I just bought an Oversize Alexa fr Jacky -- it measures on 37 cms and not 42. Is this a common prob? I see coco109 mentioned it softens up (good news). I think it's a bit more yellowy than I'd like--I prefer a more sanguine colour. Any suggestions or does the bag morph the more u use it ... As coco109 intimated.
Also got a cavair XL tote ... Love the hardware. Bottom's not as rigid as I'd like ie I like
bag that stands on its feet. Should be a good work bag. Five days, $30 shipping I was 80% pleased. Have been buying exclusively fr Shaly/sophie and the loved her bags but her shipping is OUTRAGEOUS .. Adds about usd30 to each item. Anyway good to see reps still rule!

Thanks everyone for your input on the BDR First issue - particularly for the encouraging comments about RL BDR and to lovelovemode for those links to comparison photos of BDR with other pinks: they really helped. :)

I made that post when I had just got back from the airport after a day of travelling by plane and bus (Edinburgh -> London -> Tokyo -> Yokohama) so I was more than a little tired & emotional. I had also been looking forward to opening that package for a good three weeks, so the disappointment was quite sharp. I apologize for the dramatic tone of the posts.

Luna, I take your points on board. I was wrong to quote my personal correspondence with them: I was angry, and it was counter-productive. Mods, I would like the post deleted if possible, as it was OT for this thread (if nothing else).

However, I am not the only one who has been having issues with T&D recently, both in terms of the quality of their bags and their interactions with their customers. No seller should ever send out a product which looked like what I received; this has nothing to do with the leather colour, which I agree is subjective. I personally (and this is my personal opinion, nothing more) also take issue with their accusatory tone in email the moment something goes wrong, their readiness to shift blame, and their constant evasiveness when it comes to direct questions regarding their products.

But let that be the end of it. Moving on!

uiggu, I feel for you girl! ;)

On another note, anyone knows if T&D will make the town style with rose gold hardware?

very hard to impossible.they dont have a town to copy, plus, it was hard for them to get the regular size RGGH. the town requires smaller RGGH:flower:

^ glad u like it :)

anyone know a trick to make a non patina vachetta to change color? i have this beautiful LV, with perfect details but the da!n leather just wont patina. i tried washing it, put tons of baby oil but did not change a bit :(
im thinking toward tanning lotion now, lol :

Same thing happened to me last year. Solution? it was not real leather.

I'm so excited about RGGH you can't understand!!! :woot: I saw a comment about Ardoise (2011 colour) with RGGH and I saw one on purseforum.. damnnnn its sexy!

My RGGH City just arrived at Australian customs so I hope I get it by Friday! I'll take pics so you guys can weigh in on how close NBF came to the real thing.

I just received my Sahara CP today and its more of a milky watered down caramel than the sandy beige I expected! Not in a bad way though! I still think a Sahara bag would be way too high maintenance for me, but still very gorgeous. Also got a Sang and Turquoise CP. I posted a little earlier about problems with this order but I'm still happy about what it ended up being. Turquoise leather feels amazing btw. My fav NBF leather from their recent batches so far is still Moutarde though - silky soft, extremely thin, very matte, moderate distressing, and flops down like its already worn in

Hi,
Does any of you have any experience with Catty's Mulberry Alexa and Givenchy Nightingale? Look good in pictures, but its hard to tell if the leather is nice and soft, genuine colours etc.
Also, how about her Balenciaga city's? Some look great and some... not so great (I have a bad experience from ordering a replica before, which had really hard and shiny leather, this was a long time ago though, from another seller)
Would be awesome if anyone wanted to share there experience. Thanks in advance :)

Baby Yorkie- THANK YOU SO MUCH!!♥♥♥♥♥

I took her out today and omg in daylight the color is much lighter, like almost a white pink. And it also changes with the lighting-yellow light bulbs make it seem more lilac while white light and daylight makes it more icy pink/white.

Also I just realized my photos aren't working. T__T
So here they are (photos are mine). The first picture is with yellowish light, the second one is with a sorbet velo in bright white light, and the last photo is in fitting room lighting (can't really tell) ♥

Because some of replica LV used treated cowhide leather. For test your bag to see if it is treated or untreated leather, just drop a tiny water to see if it leave any water mark, if it is not, then it is treated leather. So baby oil only can darker a little, it will not get honey patina like authentic. I had owned replica LV before, that is the reason I decided no more replica LV for me.

Does anybody have word on what the next colors are in the pipeline for T&D? In other words, what should I be saving up $$ for? :)

Oh, and can I just put it out there into the ether that I would LOVE an ardoise or nuage color?

im pretty sure rep bags that use real cowhide can patina with baby oil, as dark as you want :) yes, it might not be the same shade of tan as the real one but definitely more than "darker a little". and as i said, i tried washing it and nothing observed in, so it must be NOT real cowhide. what i meant to ask was if anyone know what else work for this type of "non cowhide" to make it change color permanent. i love my bag but i cant stand the pale color

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone ended up buying Jacky's Celine box, and has some reviews? I know there were a few comments based on the pics on his site, but I don't recall someone buying one. In particular, I'm wondering if they found the corners too rounded, the sizing of the clasp on the front ok and how they found the leather/ finishings etc? Thanks! :)

If it is not real cowhide the only thing I can think of that may darken it up is a penetrating stain of some sort, akin to a sharpie marker ink in a liquid form although that might be too much too fast and may not produce an even result.

I found this do it yourself using RIT dye on plastic. Perhaps it might work by preparing the dye as suggested but instead of soaking the plastic (which would be very hard to do and not get the rest of the bag dyed) just soak a rag and smooth it over the 'vachetta' parts. It may take some patience as I would think doing it in this manner would not produce immediate results. Might just work though, introducing the color this way may result in a more
even finish.

Another thought...brew some super, super, SUPER strong coffee and apply it via the same method.

Although note this sentence from the article, the material on your bag may not even be conducive to any staining at all:

" A good test to see if your plastic can be dyed is to do a file test. If the plastic flakes or crumbles, it probably will not dye. You can always test it in the dye solution to make sure."

#321 recipe under '2010 Spring/Summer Fashion Forecast' looks like ( on my monitor anyway, LOL) the recipe may be close to what you want.

If you decide to take on a project...good luck...and let us know the results! :D

I thought I'd share a comparison pic of all the pinks NBF have done recently for reference. I don't have magenta (same thing as Amethyst, really) or the first batch of amethyst, just the most recent ( and most accurate ).
And also I'm just crazy in love with the latest batch of Anthra. The leather is simply incredible. No veins, no marbling, no wrinkles, just instantly soft, pillowy, medium-thick...and it's a true smokey charcoal black grey. I LOVE it. I highly recommend this batch to anyone wanting a truly impeccable bag-- there's seriously not a single thing to complain about; perfect PERFECT perfect leather, gorgeous deep charcoal color, perfect handles... if all that doesn't satisfy you, nothing will!
