the bois de rose is awesome. How does the colour compare to the real one? I've seen pictures of it and there was more of a dusty/nudish pink tone to BDR but NBF pics seems very cool. Almost an icy pink?

Also, did the real BDR ever came in GGH?

Hi everyone!

Finally got my invite and this is my first post! YAY! :D

So I've been on ioffer for years (definitely some hits and misses over the years) and have bought a few loads from Jacky. Most recently purchased the PS1 Medium in black, Chanel Half Moon WOC in Black caviar and some Vernis accessories... All great quality as per usual. I do have questions for anyone who has seen an auth PS1 though. Do the inside side rivets look like open Flat head screws or are they covered over like studs? I recently went to Holts in Vancouver in hopes of comparing, but they don't carry Proenza Schouler!

Also regarding Jacky, Whats the quality like of his caviar vs lambskin flaps? I'm thinking either the medium or large, whichever is better quality.

Hi ladies,

Has anyone got the Tinhan from Jacky yet? I always thought it was supposed to have the studs? Or did they come out with the plain version too? Is it a practical size (and enough pockets inside) for everyday use? I want a rougher looking black everyday bag, but the AWang Darcy isn't doing it for me, and even though I love my medium PS1 from Jacky, I'm going to sell it as the messenger bag just isn't me. :(

I'm a hobo kinda girl

kelsbags - the bag is on page two of her Chanel page for $295 (, you can haggle outside of ioffer though). I really love the structure of this bag. It's very stiff, but the leather is soft. I have experimented with a bunch of reissues since my n00b ioffer days, and they tend to be either super plasticky to hold the distressing, or very floppy. This one is money. Only thing is that they don't get the fold on the bottom of the reissue (apparently the auths, they "pop" them into shape). But, I still love it!

freefallin - Jacky's caviar and lambskin are both ok. I prefer the caviar because he makes it strictly for his Chanel. I've heard that sometimes he uses leftover leather from other bags to make lambskin flaps. The result can be a little odd and floppy.

Doot doot - any comments on this current run of Anthracite vs. the one they did before?

I only have the latest batch. If you want Anthra, this is the one to go for. The leather is simply perfect. Right amount of distressing with greenish dark blue undertones.

Thanks boinquo! I think she's been moving stuff around....is it now on the first page of her ioffer store....the 227 for $295? I want to make sure I get the right one!!! :flower:

stellabelle - would you mind taking pics in natural light? I know it's snowing/freezing on the east coast but maybe a window or even a flash/lamp could provide better lighting so we can see your new bag :)

Is there a seller anyone knows that makes balenciagas close in quality to nbf but at a cheaper price?

cheaper than $200? is that not reasonable for a lambskin leather bag? there are sellers who's Bals come "close" but they are more expensive than T&D's and reek of toxic chemicals and putrefaction. I don't think you can even buy non-branded genuine Italian goat/lamb leather bags for less than $200. NBF is the best quality, best service, and best leather all at the best price.

xing - I've seen BDR in person (and almost bought the Lizard embossed First) and the color is spot on. In store, the color is more on the white or "dusty" side but that's because the leather is drydrydry. Like all colors, it will appear differently in different lighting. It is a verrrry pale pink, almost ivory. I LOVE it!

No it's very reasonable, I was just seeing if there was anyone else does great bal bags at a good price and with some other styles as nbf don't have a huge variety and you have to wait for the turn around:doh:
However I still decided to get the Anthracite Work RH from nbf :)

No need to explain! Someone posted one from Jacky in the picture thread, the leather looks nice. But he only seems to ever have black.....and they sell out pretty quickly. :flower:

Helen-Rox,

The only option I can think of is to buy a used (pre-homed LOL) NBF. I have bought several from different tFS members for $30-$100 less than NBF charges, and have never been disapppointed.

As others have noted, there are other sellers on ioffer that come close to NBF and one or two that surpass them only in certain areas (i.e. color choices) but none are more affordable.

And to all who care...

Carrying the saddleback leather tote for the first time today as it rains in southern California; it's great to not have to worry about getting the bag wet, etc. It has a 100-year guarantee! WooHoo!
