jujulabee said:Damaged goods are UNACCEPTABLE -- ESPECIALLLY from a seller who is charging a HUGE markup based on HER carrying the risk of loss. She is the one who should be paying for ALL shipping costs back and forth.
This is what you should POLITELY but ASSERTIVELY request.
Buyer's remorse is different -- a courtesy that a seller extends in terms of returns but defective bags are UNACCEPTABLE even from a wholesaler. However, when buying retail from Malky who is making a NICE PROFIT on her markup, it is she who should be making you whole in the transaction.
If she doesn't agree, tell her that you are a regular poster on a thread devoted to bags and will alert everyone that her HIGH prices aren't warranted.
As I have previously posted, I have NO issue with someone making a retail profit on bags they buy for less from places like profitcome. However, in exchange for that profit, THEY take the risk of loss if a bag is defective and their "retail" prices reflect that. I bet you paid quite a bit more than $100 for the Stam which is probably what Malky paid for it.
Thanks to you and all who have offered advice which incidentally is well taken and much appreciated. I will formulate a mail to Malky tomorrow addressing this issue. I sincerely thank all of you for this!
