Now I'm thinking about the LV monogram Speedy in the 30 or 35. I emailed Alliejack and she sent me some photos.... they look great.

jus curious- but what does a stella look like?

It's a tote bag by Marc Jacobs with two pockets on the front. There have been a couple of versions with different hardware (very different - some are buckles, some are pushlocks, and I think it may come in a third version).

I've seen many of Glenda's (Bag1218) bags coming through one of her suppliers here, and the bags are not consistent. I've seen some "lambskin" bags coming from her that were Polyamide PVC # 3. Some of her other "lambskins" were in reality that split pigskin that is moisture-bulked and backed with ultra-thin foam sheet to give it softness and texture. Either she can't tell the difference between the polymer mixes and the animal skins, or she chooses to tell you what she thinks you want to hear. Unless you intend to take of her Chanels to a good shoe repair guy to tell you what the skin is, I would stay away from her Chanels. If anyone has purchased any of her bags, you can take your bag to a good shoe repair guy and have the skin checked out. A good shoe repair guy can tell you immediately what type of material the bag is made of.

What does PC (the Chloe source) stand for?

hmm.. do you know any other chanel sellers? that lady i emailed for the italian bags hasn't given me a reply. :ninja:

from bloomingdales.com

the ones for f/w have goldtone hardware...

hmm.. just wanted to give you guys a heads-up. :ninja: i emailed the owner of voguebags to ask him if he had a certain bag in a certain color and if there were more pics because there was only one photo that didn't show much... and some other questions. he emailed me back saying "there's already photos" (that's it  ) and didnt answer my other questions with details etc.

well maybe he is tired. he doesn't seem very friendly. what if he's trying to hide details or something about his bags? now i crossed him off my list. wouldnt want anyone to get scammed or something.. or if they received a wrong bag it would be quite hard since he doesnt seem responsive at all. (theres enough blech sellers who arent nice already it seems) :ninja:

^ Voguebags is owned by DesignerMarque isn't it? :ermm: Either way, that was a brusque reply. Sellers like DM & NBF can't afford & shouldn't have this uncourteous attitude problem.

P.S. Very beautiful bag Voodoo_Mary, you must have so many bags! ^_^ (I'm jealous :shifty: )

She didn't watermark them so I don't think I should post them; some other seller could grab and use them. PM me with your email address and I'll send them.

voodoo_mary, those "greyish patterns" on the leather might be those silverish gray marking made from the manufacturer's pattern pencils to mark where a bag is to be stitched or detailed. You can easily remove those with a Q-tip dipped in Cadillac Leather Cleaner. Cadillac Leather Cleaner is a great cleaner to spot clean your bags because it does not get absorbed by the leather, thus the leather will not darken when applying this cleaner to it. If you can't find this cleaner, then barely moisten the end of a Q-tip (press out excess moisture with a tissue) and test blot on a spot less noticeable (in case you leave a mark).
First, parisian, your leather knowledge (e.g. this and your previous message) is fascinating, thanks for sharing it!

But second - the edge marks are intentional on these BV bags - on the lighter bags, along all the scalloped edges there is a light brown color, almost like the edge is lightly burned - it may sound weird, but it's very attractive in reality. It doesn't really photograph well but IRL, it shows off the edging and handle detail very well. I think it's especially clever on the handle of the white bags, because it will disguise any actual darkening from your hands...

voodoo, yes I looked back and I think the bag came in two sizes. I like yours a lot, it suits you well.

I have a question about the bags from Profitcome.com. Do they look good in person as they do on the site? Has anyone purchased and received a bag from them?

^^ Lots of gals here have purchased from PC! It's probably one of the most popular sites for MJ replicas. Lots of sellers use PC too. The prices are great, shipping is quick and most have been satisfied with the customer service and quality of the bags. LVs are generally good from what I've heard too. I know one seller that purchases the Hermes bags off of PC and resells them. Go on ioffer and most, if not all, of the MJ patent stuff comes from PC. Don't know where he gets it from but he's got a good business going!

I like my Profitcome Edith. I'd buy from him again - he's also very nice and replies quickly.

Oh, I'm sorry. My mistake! I misunderstood you. I thought you were referring to the silvery pattern manufacturing cutting marks that sometimes appear on leather bags. If anyone gets a bag with any of these marks, now you know how to clean them.

Thank you for the compliment. You are very nice. I used to work for an exotic leather handmade boot and bag company, so I know a lot about skins and leather manufacturing processes.

i'm still so tempted by the clandestine, even though you guys said you had problems with the bag's components falling off and stuff. sigh. lol.

anyone know what are the sizes of rita's clandys from her snapfish album????

Profitcome has been consistent and honest with me, unlike some of the middlemen with whom I have had the displeasure of dealing. I will remain loyal to Jacky at PC until someone gives me reason to doubt him. Then and only then will I question him .... He is honest and detail-oriented. I am very grateful to him and cannot speak highly enough of his integrity.

Im interested in a Hermes Birkin 35cm with gold hardward & a Chanel quilted front flap bag in red I think. Has anyone ordered either of those or Hermes or Chanel from Profitcome.com & what did you think? I also wonder what the quality would be like compared to ehbestfashion.com?

parisiangirl, thanks for clarifying what those silvery gray marks are. I've had those on couple of my bags and I always wondered what the heck it was.
I used an eraser and it came off very easily without a problem. I would do a test area first, to make sure your leather/dye is not too fragile.
