parisiancowgirl said:I've seen many of Glenda's (Bag1218) bags coming through one of her suppliers here, and the bags are not consistent. I've seen some "lambskin" bags coming from her that were Polyamide PVC # 3. Some of her other "lambskins" were in reality that split pigskin that is moisture-bulked and backed with ultra-thin foam sheet to give it softness and texture. Either she can't tell the difference between the polymer mixes and the animal skins, or she chooses to tell you what she thinks you want to hear. Unless you intend to take of her Chanels to a good shoe repair guy to tell you what the skin is, I would stay away from her Chanels. If anyone has purchased any of her bags, you can take your bag to a good shoe repair guy and have the skin checked out. A good shoe repair guy can tell you immediately what type of material the bag is made of.
What does PC (the Chloe source) stand for?

designermarque?!?!?! i never knewHye Park Lover said:^ Voguebags is owned by DesignerMarque isn't it?Either way, that was a brusque reply. Sellers like DM & NBF can't afford & shouldn't have this uncourteous attitude problem.
P.S. Very beautiful bag Voodoo_Mary, you must have so many bags!(I'm jealous

First, parisian, your leather knowledge (e.g. this and your previous message) is fascinating, thanks for sharing it!parisiancowgirl said:voodoo_mary, those "greyish patterns" on the leather might be those silverish gray marking made from the manufacturer's pattern pencils to mark where a bag is to be stitched or detailed. You can easily remove those with a Q-tip dipped in Cadillac Leather Cleaner. Cadillac Leather Cleaner is a great cleaner to spot clean your bags because it does not get absorbed by the leather, thus the leather will not darken when applying this cleaner to it. If you can't find this cleaner, then barely moisten the end of a Q-tip (press out excess moisture with a tissue) and test blot on a spot less noticeable (in case you leave a mark).
Oh, I'm sorry. My mistake! I misunderstood you. I thought you were referring to the silvery pattern manufacturing cutting marks that sometimes appear on leather bags. If anyone gets a bag with any of these marks, now you know how to clean them.LouiseyPeasey said:First, parisian, your leather knowledge (e.g. this and your previous message) is fascinating, thanks for sharing it!
But second - the edge marks are intentional on these BV bags - on the lighter bags, along all the scalloped edges there is a light brown color, almost like the edge is lightly burned - it may sound weird, but it's very attractive in reality. It doesn't really photograph well but IRL, it shows off the edging and handle detail very well. I think it's especially clever on the handle of the white bags, because it will disguise any actual darkening from your hands...
voodoo, yes I looked back and I think the bag came in two sizes. I like yours a lot, it suits you well.
Profitcome has been consistent and honest with me, unlike some of the middlemen with whom I have had the displeasure of dealing. I will remain loyal to Jacky at PC until someone gives me reason to doubt him. Then and only then will I question him .... He is honest and detail-oriented. I am very grateful to him and cannot speak highly enough of his integrity.tlloveshim said:^^ Lots of gals here have purchased from PC! It's probably one of the most popular sites for MJ replicas. Lots of sellers use PC too. The prices are great, shipping is quick and most have been satisfied with the customer service and quality of the bags. LVs are generally good from what I've heard too. I know one seller that purchases the Hermes bags off of PC and resells them. Go on ioffer and most, if not all, of the MJ patent stuff comes from PC. Don't know where he gets it from but he's got a good business going!
parisiangirl, thanks for clarifying what those silvery gray marks are. I've had those on couple of my bags and I always wondered what the heck it was.parisiancowgirl said:Oh, I'm sorry. My mistake! Thank you for the compliment. You are very nice. I used to work for an exotic leather handmade boot and bag company, so I know a lot about skins and leather manufacturing processes.
