Is Bare Minerals Worth Buying?

awww, i am soo glad.
Isn't is just so fool proof?
You should try that kit they have out at sephora right now, if you don't want to invest in the full size yet. It has a blush, clear radiance, blush brush, warm radiance-- I feel like it freshens me up for this fall, cold weather, still healthy and radiant...
Cosmo- the lip gloss is cool too. If you get the clear you can mix a little of your blush or radiance in it they say.

Fool-proof is so dead on. I wake up in the mornings now and am so excited to put on my makeup! LOL. I loved the foundation, but I am so happy that I ordered the mineral veil as well. It is just so flawless. I feel so gosh darn purty. :D

Did you try ordering through their website or sephora?
You could also just call any of their stores in California and they would take an order over the phone. Oh, and they have on in NYC, that might be easier and they give lots of free samples if you ask!

I just ordered the BE skin rever-upper spray. Anyone try this? It sounded like it would minimize pores before applying the foundation.

I haven't tried it, but I am sure it is fine.
I find that, it is always good to cleanse, TONE with an alcohol free toner, and moisturizer. The toning, and lotion really make for smooth application. Of course, wait 10-15 min after doing soo.
A good quality makes it look flawless I'd say. Right now, I am using Phytomer Rose Toner..BUT if you want to minimize Pores, I also used ( this summer when it was hot and humid) Dr. Brandt Poreless Toner. There is a whole Poreless line. My pores aren't that large, but I felt it def cleared me up! and "emptied my pores out" with regular use of toning...yay!

Golden Beauty, you can buy it at Åhlens City if you live in Stockholm. By the way, hi everybody, I'm new ^_^

^ Oh, thanks !
I go there quiet often but don't remember seeing them.

Welcome to the forum Linnea :flower:

Hi there, Linnea!

Lostinemotion, I think I am just a sucker for all things BE! My pores really aren't large either, but they lured me in with the description "flawless finish". Next I want to order "Warmth" because I don't have it yet. From the commercials, it looks like Warmth is used in place of blush. Do you use this?

Oh yes, it really makes you look naturally "flushed". My pores are not large either but the flawless face, even when u look really close, is too good to pass up.
They have this new warmth that I LOVE, this fall. It is called "warm radiance". It is like the clear radiance, but a warmer tone. It is really refreshing and still makes you look dewy, like the clear radiance, never...shimmery. Have you tried it?
( clear radiance)
You should get what I got at sephora..the little kit that comes in a hot pink case, has the blush brush, glee, clear radiance, warm radiance..in eyeshadow size containers. I have had mine since August and since you need so little, I still have very full containers!
I looks sooo refreshed with it.

^ Yes I have clear radiance, and I LOOOOOVE it! Do you wear that with blush? I swipe it over my blush and am not sure if I am doing it correctly.
I am definitely going to buy warm radiance. Would you suggest that over warmth?

You are totally by BE almightly consultant!

LOL!
I am just obsessed with it as you are ;-)
You can use it over the warmth. I use it over the glee.
I glide the radiance over my cheeks, nose, eyes.
Inside that kit, I think it's called the complexion booster kit...I think it's a good deal, for the brush alone. Anyhow, there is a cute tip card in there, and it even says you can use the clear radiance and warm radiance for a "looking at your fondest childhoold memories glow"
HAHAHAHAHAHAA....sounds so funny, but looks great!

If anyone has an ULTA near them...

Right now ULTA has the kit on sale for like, $45.....:flower:

I am so getting the regular foundation though.....sounds awesome...

^ I wish I had an Ulta! The closest one is 3 hours from here. :(

I am driving to my grandma's next week for Thanksgiving and on the way, I am stopping off at Sephora though.

My BE skin rev-er upper came today, so I am trying it in the morning. I'll let you know what I think of it!

ooh, let me know. she supposedly bought that line of skin care, because she loved it so much..
here is a pic of the Complexion Booster, can't miss it in the store.

I just bought the regular foundation----what's the multi-tasking powder? Do I need it along w/ my foundation or can I just use the foundation alone?

Anyone who's used the foundation--I was planning on just putting on some moisturizer, a dab of cover-up under the eyes and then putting on the power foundation....will that do or do I need extra products?

One more thing (ha, sorry! :innocent: ) do I need to buy the foundation brush from bare minerals or can I use my own? (don't know if that will affect the minerals)

hehe, thanks for any input :flower:

You don't need the concealer under eyes. You can use the multi tasking minerals for that, or if you have any acne, or flat red scars, or anything you want to cover up. I don't think mixing other brands with it is a good idea, I tried and because the minerals are so fine, it just clumps up with other brands.
I would not use your brush, I tried, though it is ok, it doesn't give you the full effect or coverage to get the best look, since the brushes are made for such fine pigments.

I use my own brush but want to get theirs. I am sure the coverage is better, as lost lostinemotion said.

I got a coupon in the mail last night for $$$ off at Ulta. I checked online and it looks like they don't sell BE on their website. Is this true?

Anyway, I tried the skin rev-er this morning. It did minimize my pores and actually, it just made my skin feel very refreshed. I didn't notice any huge difference other than that.

I love BE, too. I just started using it a few weeks ago and have already gone crazy buying. Less is def. more when it come to applying the foundation. It takes awhile to get the right coverage, but the glowy look it gives is unmatched for everday use:heart: I am pale and was gifted the light kit, which is IMO more of a medium kit. I gave light #2 to my med. skinned friend and use the 1.2 and bought #1 for winter. I also use the rose radiance, which is gorgeous. The warmth is also nice in very small amounts.

Their eyeshadows are my favorite-- the soft focus line is beautiful and so are all of the glimmers that I've tried-- incredible applied wet or as liner.

I am 25 and ususally do not have any noticeable lines under my eyes, but thfoundation accentuated all, and aged me fifty years:(- so I use a separate concealer.

I don't know how the multi-tasking minerals are different than the foundation-- they felt the same to me. Do they not accentuate invisble lines under the eye?
