i love the collection and all. what girl wouldn't capture a bit of that effortless french thing with ones of these pieces. it's great for designers to take their customers to a new place. all that. okay. got it out. but seriously....it's derivative. and i'm assuming they'll just keep reissuing those boots because there will be riots if those boots don't magically make it back into stores next fall. and they'll need to pay for this mis-step somehow. also, those shoes and jeans will sell because they're cheaper than the balmains they're inspired by.

I'm really trying to like this but it's not the same girl I fell in love with a couple of seasons ago. OK she might change and I can wait, but there's just something wrong with the overall look, the fit and the shoes...

Some of the pieces are definitely wearable. For example that black and white sweater which Freja is adorning is just plain yummy. That sweater *points* in my closet, and pronto! But I agree with the general commentary here, it definitely is a hit and miss collection for me too...

I'm not liking the look Marant (or should I say Alt) is giving us. But the pieces seperatly are good. I love the jackets for instance.

there are some really great looks here - loving the really simple muted pieces and looks - the shoes are darling with the pants. these are my favorite looks:

some of the stuff (especially on the first page) is truly bizarre and tacky. faded denim jacket + bright blue sequin pants? really? glad to not see the chain and stud boots.

I like it too, I think the tops(shirts?) are the best part of the collection, I just don't think they will be worth the 750 euros she will be asking for it.
