Japanese Street Style #1

I would love to go there someday soon.I am obsessed with the idea of simply going to Tokyo and other places in Japan and just exploring and taking as many pictures as I can.I find anything Japanese so cool.

Shibuya will be a definite stop for me.Isn't that where a ton of good shopping areas are also?

Shibuya is very fascinating in its own way. There is a wide variety of shopping there (style wise). In Japan, Shibuya is most known for "109" which is a large mall for young girls. Most of the clothing is kind of "club attire" (body hugging, tight tops etc), but nonetheless very interesting.

I recommend walking to Harajuku from Shibuya. If you can figure that out, you will find the most interesting and unique shops inbetween those two districts.

Harajuku is more vintage, and emulates a less mainstream style than Shibuya. :flower:

I appreciate the fun side of japanese fashion but a lot of the time it is too cluttered. sometimes less is more!

I agree I used to live in tokyo and I felt that fashion was too cluttered. In the area where I was it was quite tarty really. Hot pants and a garter to do your food shop. You cant beat the Kimonos and yukatas though.

there are many japanese tourists where I live and the funny thing is that here they dress normally and very stylishly most of the time. Maybe they don't want to stick out like a sore thumb lol! Or maybe there is more freedom in japan in terms of what you dress like and people don'y judge you as much as in England.

Maybe. I found that you did get judged on what you had on. Though of course its a good way to be stand out - that is until everyone does it.

I've always wanted to visit Japan, and this post made me ..well,, want to visit it even more.
I really like the white and grey outfits those girls are wearing in the third picture from the bottom
