You're welcome vintage_princess, apertureromance, and perlefine =)

I bought it in Vancouver in a Japanese book store called "Iwase Books".

I will try to take more photos coz the magazine is filled with it ;)

Perlefine, that's one of my favorites too! I think that girl is too cute and I love her outfit

cool!
I like the very first one best I think.
I like the longer shirt with the high cut jacket.
Thanks Maraschino!!!!!

hey, girl! do you live IN Tokyo?? Looking to share a martini and have breakfast at Tiffany's in Ginza with a fellow-minded Gaijin ...

I love Japanese street style! A few days ago, I bought a Japanese magazine "CUTIE". Have any of you heard of it? It was my first time buying this magazine, and they had pages and pages of Japanese girl's street style in it! I'll scan some later...It's sooo cute...They had a whole spread on Vivienne Westwood style too =)

I've bought it several times.It's a great magazine:woot:
The gifts from it are also cute:heart:

Here to bump up this Streetstyle thread with some scans from a copy of Fruits magazine that I picked up in Hong Kong. The outfits here are a little more pared down in comparisom to the uber cutie, colourful style that we associate with Japanese streestyle but it's still very inspirational dress sense.

All pics scanned from Fruits No. 103 02/06

Some of these outfits look REALLY complex...i applaud their innovation and audacity in the way they dress, but with some of these (especially the guys) it seems like there's too much going on in the same outfit, too busy. I like the Shibuya top middle guy's Number (N)ine pants though.

And the last ones....

FtB I don't think most of these ppl are dressing to flatter their bodies. Most of them seem to be out to create interesting shapes/sillhouettes and express an amalgamation of inspirations through clothes. The effect probably is a bit busy I don't think it's displeasing to the eye or anything.

Yes I realize and can appreciate that the Japanese street aesthetic, at least from many images summed up in this thread, is defined by a tendency for creative and personal expression through the clothes rather than to flatter their bodies, like you said. However it's probably just a personal preference matter, I always feel some kind of sensory overload when looking at pictures of Japanese street style. It's just very overwhelming on my eyes, not necessarily saying it's ugly, just not really my ideal.
