To most asians, caucasian is just 'one look' as well. Asking a mainlander the difference between a spanish and australian person is like asking someone the difference btw someone from taiwan and hong kong.

I second that. I've been living in the UK for 6 years now, yet I still cannot tell the difference between Americans, Western Europeans, Eastern Europeans and Scandinavians..:innocent: Most of my caucasians are sharp-eyed and can tell right away, so they're convinced that I'm blind:lol: ...... (I can't even tell that clearly from their accents)

I found this pic on LJ fruity_scans, and I love the guy's t-shirt at the bottom middle! thought I'd share:

yeah cool shirt.
When I was in Japan last spring, it seemed like people I would hang out with...would want to know if I was for or against....
haha.
they would always laugh at my answer.... partly cuz it would undoubtly contain a certain amount of %#@#^ words.
I guess it's fun to hear people swear in other languages.:p

cool scans.
love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Japan style in London?

Ah, I'm a huge fan of Japanese style. Japanese fashion magazines are *the best*! I don't enjoy Western mens fashion magazines too much; usually just loadsa ads, some stuff on gadgets and then a few pages of fashion shoots for super-expensive designer goods.

Japanese magazines on the other hand are so much more user-friendly. They have stuff on specific brands and then stuff on looks. I was flipping through my latest magazine today and they had a section where they chose about 10 different items (shirts, jackets, trousers ...) and then showed you like 50 different ways to mix and match them! ALL COOL! I'm addicted to Japanese fashion magazines and they're my #1 fashion inspiration!!

Anyways I just moved to London from Brisbane (Australia) and I need to know something. In Brisbane there was store where they sold fashion and accessories from Hong Kong and Japan. All really cool stuff. Is there anywhere like that in London, where you can buy Japanese/HongKong/Chinese fashions? I hope this hasn't already been asked.

yyyyeeeeeeeeessssssssssssss!!!!!!!!

hahaha.

wonderful.
winne-the-poo,
oh how I love you!

and army tags...
my knees are weak.

bleh...the japanese are such fashion victims.

its just TOO MUCH for me.

the 20 years olds dressing as 12 year old helloKitty-collecting schoolgirls look ridiculous.

whats the average height for a japanese person?! they all look so ridiculously short!

yeah. they all are bad dressing short people.

between you and me... I'm into 12 year olds that dress like they are 20, and are 6 feet tall.... hmmmm? good new thread idea... anyone???

Oh janginhwa - that picture is so ridiculously cute. I don't know what's with that winnie the pooh but still 100% kawaii-ne!

One thing I've noticed is that cuteness (for both guys and girls) is a strong part of youth Asian cultures (particularly Japanese, to some extent Korean, Chinese etc) and is thus reflected in the fashion. This cute factor I really can't see in western culture in particular for guys.

And besides Boluda - it's well known Japanese aren't the tallest of races.

Keep posting pics people! :flower:

The following photos are all from style-arena.jp....
