Hope Raf will bring back quality cashmere sweaters at Jil Sander! (Sorry but I wasn't fan of Polypropylene)

That was a little wierd; but, there were other keyhole and polo style sweaters in pure cashmere.

I'm absolutely in love with that sweater. I hope it comes in non-turtleneck though. I don't do well with them.

I was a big fan of the polypropylene sweaters too, but at least for spring they've moved back toward more classic materials. This may just be due to the weight though...

i love jil sander more and more and more!!! simplicity is the key to everything :) effortlessness. raf retains the same style, but unlike dolce and gabbana it's not the same collection from season to season!

Are you serious? Did they really do the pseudo v-neck sweaters (key hole) in cashmere too? Too bad, the only ones I saw were in polypropylene which i didn't really like (+ I don't fell bad spending 800 for cashmere, but I do would have felt bad spending the retail for this fabric). I'll call the Jil Sander shop in Paris to see if they still have them...
Visconti: did you buy them (the popypropylene)? Did they keep their shape (I was worry about that)?

btw that grey turtleneck sweater is brillant!

^^

i second that bedtimestoynyc !!the collection changes in a way that keeps the same mood without being the same clothes. bravo RAF!!

(i didnt know they made the key hole sweaters in cashmere either!!! :'(

I bought the woven poly (identical fabric to the keyhole, but I have a slightly different neckline). It's held up remarkable well (had it since August), but I'm really careful to keep it stored properly. There was a second type of all poly that was a squishier fabric. Some of the more marbled knits were made in it. I only tried one on, but it seemed like it'd be more difficult to keep looking good.

I can't remember if the keyholes were done in 100% cashmere, but definitely in a wool/cashmere blend. There was also a really dark blue, dry feeling knit. I think it was wool.

etro: the pinstripe/grid? It's great. So far I'm leaning toward that early green one and of course, the sweater.

OMG I want it! How much was it?

Can you (or visconti) tell me where the cashmere was made (I think Italy but I want to be sure before calling the store and I don't see myself asking that...)

Ooo, Raf made shearling desireable, I realllly love that black jacket, I think I need it. Lets hope the rest isn't such a snooze.

I don't know about the green. I hope there is another color that comes out in this collection. I can't say I am a big fan of green/teal/forest/etc. At least not in something that is more than a tshirt or something over $200.

I've never bought anything major in green either. I just like the way that material seems to catch the black + green. I guess I'm a sucker for those "trick fabrics". Since I'll have plenty of grey/black and possibly blue coats, I'm interested in diversifying (but still being in step with my pants/shoes). I guess that's one of Raf's brilliant tricks!

I'm curious about seeing the other colors too. I normally don't do browns, but that shade in the shot with the bag is pretty good.

I think all of the men's stuff is made in Italy now. I don't have any cashmere pieces to check though.

So they definitely closed the ateliers in Germany... sad... I had three seconds of hope when I saw on Browns that the sizing system was german...

love jil sander..especially, the collars..they are so precisely cut.
i've been buttoning my shirt to the last button for a while now and it has a great effect. but yea, i sometimes get weird looks from people. who cares, right?

it looks promising so far, still not enough pictures for me but I hope there are more light fabrics on the show though it's still good to see him experiment with heavy materials and getting away with it.
