Some really nice pieces, but this is not Galliano at all. I never understood why they let this brand continue after firing John if it never made a profit in the first place

Im gonna repeat this every season till this brand is gone: this didn't even make money when john was in charge, who the hell is buying this crap? Are they only keeping it alive as a sort of offense towards john? I just don't understand. Shut-it-down.
I guess overall this is less ugly than gaytten's past efforts, but there is not a single 'galliano' thing here. It's just 'some clothes'. It's sad.

BURY THE LABEL OR BRING HIM BACK! This is just a pointless high carbon footprint exercise, sorry.

Another mediocre attempt to cash-in using the Galliano name.

This brand doesn't even have an identity anymore... it's just Bill Gaytten's plaything, where he's copying different designers and aesthetics each season (this season seems to be Andrew Gn mets Costume National, except both of them were much better than this...). It's just pitiful.

the collection is unremarkable. But there are some individual pieces that stand out on their own. It's unfortunate that they still don't jive with what the JG brand stands for. Bill can't change that; as much as his haters want, JG's legacy is still alive and the quicker Bill and his bosses realize that and start putting out collections that honor the brand, the more positive the responses will be.

It's a huge improvement from S/s 2015 but it's mediocre. I really don't see the point of keeping this brand alive unless John is the one designing, it's just a stream of sad attempts.

As a galliano former customer i beg - please shut it down already. Don't see the improvement, don't wanna wear. There're so many good pieces available from other designers with the solid vision... but who would buy this?

Maybe they're keeping this going to keep the workers employed, or maybe they would lose a lot of money if they shut down the brand. Galliano had a loyal following so I doubt those people would be buying this, maybe there's a new customer. Maybe they're making some profit. It seems silly that they keep it going to be vindictive, Arnault is a business man, I highly doubt he'd do something so childish. I think LVMH doesn't want any association with JG but keep his brand alive because it would cause a big monetary loss or they don't want people losing their jobs

Are they really finding that continuing this line is profitable? It's such a mess. Bill must really have some deeply embedded bitterness towards John to **** all over his namesake label like this...

There are moments when you see a collection ... and wonder whether what you saw is just a parade of thrift store finds. This, most certainly, is one of those moments. #closethehouseorbringhimback

This seems like a strange parody of John Galliano along with some other things.

I remember reading that this label never reached a profit, even when Galliano was there. So why these collections are still being trotted out is beyond me.

Taking a Saint-Laurent approach to a very dead label in hopes to bringing back isn't gonna do the trick..:innocent:

Maybe they're just throwing out all sorts of aesthetics season after season in hopes that something will stick? That's the only explanation I can come up with, really...
