John Mayer fuc*s & tells

The real question is where the hell is his PR team ? I mean he's John Mayer not some silly C.list celebrity that nobody cares about.I know that they can't control, what's coming out of his mouth but still, stuff like should not happen to someone like him.

I can't believe the comments defending him here/on other sites. He wasn't funny nor ironic. He's a grown man and his apologizing is a farce- so funny people think it to be sincere. The only thing he's concerned about is bad press/loss of sales. I've always loathed him but at least this gives me a justifiable reason

I guess this is modern day controversy....It's so pathetic, beyond words really...

So tacky, talking about exes like that! and using them to get attention. He really is a bigger douche than even Kanye...

Douchey is sorry. Always sorry

John Mayer tweeted at New Year’s that he’d be taking some time to reflect, to cut off his Twitter musings, to try and tame his famewhore. That worked for about a week. Then he spoke to Rolling Stone and extolled the virtues of masturbation, revealing that he jerks off to his ex girlfriends all the time. After that interview, he declared he was done, that it was over, no more yapping to the media, no more shenanigans.

Not even a month later this Playboy article drops and once again he’s saying sorry, once again he’s insisting he just wants to make music and not statements. He did it on Twitter and he also did it on stage last night.

Do you believe him?

I don’t believe him.

I don’t believe him because John Mayer is and will always be a narcissist. Even his apologies are narcissistic. The apology was ALL ABOUT HIM. The band was for HIM. The band stood up for HIM. The band forgave HIM. The band loves HIM. The band respects HIM. The band is black so if they have embraced HIM than we should embrace HIM. Always HIM. Him, him, him, him, him.

Right now, it’s all about HIM.

He’s a racist, and it still helps HIM. It’s yet another reason for HIM to keep talking about HIM.

This is not sorry. This is selfish. This is self-involved. This is John Mayer. And this is a warning for Taylor Swift. Not that it will help because she’s 20 so the more you say don’t, she will automatically just do, but remember, apology or not, John Mayer is still This Guy:

“Because I want to show (a girl I’m with that) I’m not like every other guy. Because I hate other men. When I’m f-cking you, I’m trying to f-ck every man who’s ever f-cked you, but in his ***, so you’ll say “No one’s ever done that to me in bed. Here’s what I really want to do at 32: **** a girl and then, as she’s sleeping in bed, make breakfast for her. So she’s like, “What? You gave me five vaginal orgasms last night, and you’re making me a spinach omelet? You are the ****!” So she says, “I love this guy.” I say, “I love this girl loving me.” And then we have a problem. Because that entails instant relationship. I’m already playing house. And when I lose interest she’s going to say, “Why would you do that if you didn’t want to stick with me?”

So textbook, so common. John Mayer = an inferiority complex with a guitar.

As for the racism, much of the outrage seems to be focused on his use of the “n” word. TOTALLY offside. But his relegation of black women to second class citizen should be prompting equal outrage.

“I don’t think I open myself to (being with a black woman). My dick is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a ****in’ David Duke ****. I’m going to start dating separately from my dick. I always thought Holly Robinson Peete was gorgeous. Every white dude loved Hilary from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. And Kerry Washington. She’s superhot, and she’s also white-girl crazy. Kerry Washington would break your heart like a white girl. Just all of a sudden she’d be like, “Yeah, I sucked his dick. Whatever.” And you’d be like, “What? We weren’t talking about that.” That’s what “Heartbreak Warfare” is all about, when a girl uses jealousy as a tactic.”

Makes you feel dirty just reading it.

And the truth is there are a lot of men who feel the same way John Mayer does. I don’t know what it’s like to be black, but I do know what it’s like to be Asian, when you know you’re either a fetish or a seen as just an animal. Most of them can’t hide it in their eyes. And it’s not only about sex either. As for dismissing it as a problem among the “uninformed”, well, it’s the INFORMED ones who perpetuate racism in its most dangerous form.

Not too long ago I spent an afternoon among friends. And a very well educated friend from a very proper family had recently found a cleaning service. She announced to us, while I was sitting in the room, oblivious to her own ignorance, that was especially relieved to have found a cleaning service with “caucasian” employees. So that foreign accents would not reverberate around the house. Children, you see, are impressionable. And broken English is contagious.

NB. My article yesterday on John Mayer was excerpted from Us Weekly and that reference article was focused on Jessica Simpson’s crack sex *** and Jennifer Aniston. There was no mention of race, and I’d yet to read the complete Playboy article until late last night after rehearsal. To read the complete Playboy John Mayer article, click here.

People need to stop acting like John Mayer is responsable for all the racism in the world. This is sooo easy.Nobody is shocked when Kanye,Wayne and others use the n-word.And you know what ? I think that they are as much guilty as Mayer. And I pitty them as well.I don't care if you're black or white,it's the same crap.

The guy said he's sorry, let's give him the benefif of the doubt.I don't believe he is a racist at all.God I'm so tired of this,it's like everywhere I go "John Mayer is racist idiot/douchebag/misogyn".Yeah right, have you ever said something that you wish you never said ?Jeez, the media need to ease up a little. He wanted to express something and choose the wrong words. It could happen to you and me.

As much I pitty his attitude as a black woman,I don't think he deserves to be publicly hanged by the media.

 but I think anyone decent enough would not talk about ex girlfriends like they were mere sex objects. still disgusted though. he's a public figure so as much as I might make the same mistake as him, i know i won't do it with millions listening to me. and i for one know i won't say it in an interview. but yeah the world's a little boring so there're guys like john mayer who make disgusting comments to "spice" things up.

observations i made after reading this:
1. john mayer was drunk
2. jessica simpson's dad paid john to say that his daughter is good in bed
3. john mayer was REALLY drunk

I think he's sorry he got called out (nothing more). And, initially, he only acknowledged the racial slur (as if that was the only place where he crossed the line). He didn't apologize for the sexism, homophobia, entitlement, or even the racism. He's just sorry he used one word.

Moreover, he's done stuff like this multiple times over (the stand-up incident, the r*pe jokes, etc.) He's the epitome of the hipster racist/homophobe/sexist who thinks being "ironic" trumps all. I see it all the time.
Exactly. This is not a one time thing. He's been called out numerous times for saying offensive stuff.

Well he's not a hipster (wow I'm actually defending hipsters:(blink: and just tries to be. His music sucks and very commercial and radio friendly. I don't believe in his apology he's an douche and full of himself.

Oh god, what an idiot. Amen to what Lacriox said, can't believe Jennifer Aninston went there.

Ugh he makes me want to bang my head against my keyboard :judge:.

I used to really like his music. Especially his trio stuff. But over the years I've come to realize that he's just a pretentious douche, who has no grasp on who he really is.

well at least theres a light shining out of this....hes gonna inspire a whole lot of KKK rappers with that line..My D**k is like the KKK

No, just responsible for his own racism. I don't think it's too much to hold a grown-up man (32 last time I checked) responsible of his words and actions.

I am not even angered at his use of a racial slur. Yes, it was stupid and insensitive, but in the context, in wasn't meant in a hateful way (the point he was making is that if there was such thing as a 'hood pass' then he would be able to get away with using the n-word the way the Black people who live in the 'hood' do).
I find truly ironic that the only part of the interview he apologized for is comparatively the least offensive one.

I am far more disgusted by his display of the crassest, most disturbing misogyny, his aggressive homophobia and, cherry on the cake, the way he abases Black women and call them sexually repulsive.

I cannot imagine why anybody would want to make apologies for this bigot (least of all a Black woman). It's not the first time this has happened.
Look it up, there are countless examples of his hatred toward women and his racial prejudices (Lainey has a good article about him calling an Asian comedian 'Kabul' as a 'joke').
The fact that he clearly don't understand why what he says is wrong, keep doing over and over again and has no inhibition in proclaiming his disturbing views tells me the guy might actually be a sociopath.

And yes Eimii, Aniston went there.

As much as agree with certain things on your post. There's a diffrence between ignorance and racism.I've read the entire PB interview. He never said that black women were sexually respulsive he said that he wasn't attracted to them. That's different.I'm not defending because clearly he used the wrong words,he coud have said "I'm not attracted to them" period. There were no need for him to compare his penis to a KKK leader. He tried to make a joke and that just didn't work.Ok !

P.Diddy's casting director for one of his video was asked to hired only light skinned black women. There were proof of that on the internet, did it broke the news ? No.Eminem said that he didn't want nothing to do with black women because he thoughts that, they were all gold diggers, did it break the news ? Nope. And the list could go on and on ...

Now,I'm for equality. If John Mayer he getting all of this hate because of what he said. Then it should be the same for everybody.I really feel like black people and rap artists in general get aways with way too much (homophia, racism towards their own race, ect ..).But when a white dude 's making a mistake,he gets thrown under the bus like no other. And I'm like chill out people,he's not Hitler.

I just wish people (whether they are black or white) would try to be fair in their judgment that's all.And stop using the racism card every single time.I'm not defending the guy at all.I'm trying to be fair and not jump in the "let's hate John Mayer" bandwagon like a freaking sheep (I'm not calling you a sheep Harumi,I'm sure you get what get I mean).

I also feel like black women, should be more secure. It's not John Mayer's fault if you've been rejected by white men in the past.Who cares about what a white boy has to say.I think John Mayer is an idiotic ignorant that's all.But racist ? Not at all (I feel like this word has been overused in the past years and that sadenned me).But anyway,I'm not a psychologist

I'm pretty skeptical of the notion that society lets Black people "get away" with all types of bad behavior while someone like Mayer (rich, White, male) gets persecuted. Isaiah Washington portrayed a super popular character while on "Grey's Anatomy," and his homophobic slur still got him fired. Kanye West got at least as much grief as Mayer for the Taylor Swift incident, if not way more. What West did was in no way comparable to this, and people were asking for his head.

Moreover, I don't think the actions of Black people are really relevant at all. Every time something like this happens, the blame seems to move away from the person who started the firestorm. P. Diddy's idiocy doesn't give John Mayer free reign to disrespect Black women. Asking Mayer to be accountable for his words isn't some twisted racial double standard.

Gay people/women/racial minorities don't need to all be faultless perfect angels before they can can expect a little respect. Hypothetically speaking, the sexism of a Black rapper I don't know doesn't allow a White man to call me names. Equality isn't equal-opportunity, blameless behavior.

Even if people want to argue that he's not racist, can they seriously argue that he's not sexist or homophobic? Having one of those qualities would be bad, but all three together? He's found a way to offend almost everybody, and I can't believe it was an act. His comments about gay men made me physically ill. Unfortunately, they're getting downplayed by the "But it was for Playboy!," "Boys will be boys" crowd.

He is so patronizing. Talking about being an honorary black man. Knowing their struggle, pain. But wouldn't touch a black woman with a 10 foot pole. I hate that I have talked more about John Mayer than I ever have.

A non-black person uses the "n-word" is a huge no-no. Yet no one, least of all the black community, blinks an eye when one of their goes around dropping the n-word like there's no tomorrow.

It is severely ironic when a prominent gay activist and a gay person himself goes around calling others a "***" (ala Perez Hilton), or when African-American musicians such as Lil Wayne refers to black people as "f*cking n*gg*s" (in public venues no less). I agree that equality isn't equal-opportunity, blameless behavior, but you also have to agree its mighty hard to expect others to accord you respect when you can't even respect yourself and uphold some dignity. I find it highly hypocritical to accuse and condemn others of racism/hatred when you yourself are perpetuating it.
