Juicy Couture

I definatly had an old tracksuit and sweatshirt. I wore four holes in the sweatshirt! I usedto really like Juicy but now it's too popular. Too many girls are wearing the same thing. It's the same problem I have with abercrombie. Has anyone heard of Juicy's new line, Couture Couture Los Angeles? It's more expensive then the regular line. I think it's in at least the upper ($800-$900) area. It's a bit much now.

your like me .. i dont want to be the same as everyone else .. i like to keep it orginal :flower:

I have a few cute Juicy things, but lately when I think of Juicy, I picture moms wearing too tights track suits (with their fake boobs, of course) in an attempt to seem younger like the mom in "Mean Girls".

I have heard and seen this brand, but I never bought a thing from them. I think they're good at inventing a brand all of their own.

i like juicy for their some of their tee shirt sayings....
some are REALLY lame (like the 'ditch him', 'juicy girl' whatever stuff...) but some are just so silly
my two faves:
"don't be a nasty b<3tch"
and "have a juicy day dumb***"
lol!

I like Juicy, but I rarely wear a full tracksuit unless of course Im at the gym. I love putting the hoodies with a pair of jeans. I don't see how that is trashy at all --especially since most people do this at some point or another.

I also got a great pair of suit pants from them. The only way you even know that they're made by Juicy is if you look at the tag.

i think they will be more successful if they go for a more older women look which is sleek yet sexy , classy and not so girly .. i think they well sell more that way .. and people would actually like juicy .. alot of ther stuff is childsih .. but some of the stuff is great dont get me wrong .. thats my opinion

couture couture is aimed at an older crowd. obviously, the only ones able to afford it. there's going to be jeans that are more streamlined and less trendy, as well as pieces that could be considered career seperates and some cocktail dresses/pieces. none of it screams juicy actually, but the brand is annoying, imho, so that won't matter to some people.

I work with Juicy and I can promise to expect everything bigger, better and more GLAM from Juicy. They have assembled internal talent that would make Marc Jacobs blush.

They have no reason to change! They've hit that perfect niche, the young girls love it and the old girls love it cause of the young girls, and there's no backlash, the young girls dont mind older girls wearing it! It's soo wierd, normally if a older woman wears a ra-ra skirt, it's over, but if an older woman wears a tracksuit, it's not...

Im just in awe of Juicy, I saw thier new mens line, it has waaay more unbranded seperates, same with thier womens. I  Juicy...

the amazing tactic is that they can suck girls in when they're young, and then keep the client as she progresses in her life. if the same girl wears juicy tracksuits in highschool, the fleece suits and jeans in college and goes on to use couture couture to outfit her career life, that adds up to gigantic numbers for juicy couture.

even though obviously they already produce gigantic numbers.

wow im lookimg forward to that .. let us know when it hits the stores :flower:

I really used to like Juicy a while back but not so much anymore. I had one of their first pieces. A vintage blue velour hoodie ( I guess they don't even make that color anymore) and it had the plain amateur looking tag inside. That was also when the sizing was different and everything ran smaller so I had to take a size medium instead of a small (which I wear in Juicy now). I liked Juicy so much at first because nobody had it and I bought a couple of shirts and track suits as well. The burgandy royalty sweat suit is still ok but I only wear it to the gym these days. I don't like any of the shirts with witty sayings on them anymore at all and banned them out of my closet. Now there's only one basic plain burgandy v-neck long sleeve left. I can still swear that because it does not scream Juicy all over.
Some of the basics they make are still nice and I would wear them but nothing else from the entire collection. It is too girlyish now.
And it is really rediculous that some older women (moms) wear their pink velour track suits out on the street wearing flip flops and a LV Vuitton bag. It looks trashy and not classy at all. Somebody should tell them that they don't look any younger when wearing that.

JUICY RECALL: Juicy Couture, which is owned by Liz Claiborne Inc., has recalled about 2,800 bracelets and necklaces because they contain high levels of lead. The recall is for the style numbers YJRU0722, YJRU0273 and YJRU0538. Department stores sold the products between September 2005 and last month. The company has requested that consumers return the jewelry to the place of purchase for a full refund.

these bracelets could kill. i hope juicy gets their *** sued.

nike has a similar scandal this year, they issued these tiffany looking heart bracelets with their kid sneakers.
kids put their bracelet in their mouths and died. then nike recalled the bracelets.
just goes to show we dont need this dangerous made-in-china cheap crap, companies keep trying to give us as freebies.

wow .. im really really shocked by all this .. does any one know if juicy knew what was really in those braclets before them put them in stores .. or did they not know about it .. ??

well, those bracelets cost big money...like 60 bucks. so maybe they did know what was in it. they probbaly just wanted to make the bracelets as cheap as possible.
and the chinese companies that they outsourced to make the bracelets, probably lied about what it was made of and had to be lying to customs about what materials the bracelets were made of. because importing stuff made will lead is illegal in the usa.
