I always think Katie Holmes look her best when she is in more relaxed, casual outfits, like jeans/t-shirt/ballet flats or sandals. Whenever she puts on something more complicated or styled she looks like someone playing dress-up, especially when she is in heels.

And this is probably old news, but I love how Suri is dressed like a child now as opposed to the mini-adult get-ups we saw her in when she was younger. Both her and Katie look much happier and more relaxed post Tom Cruise.

The outfit in 661 is the type I think is perfect for her (minus the boots), very clean, classic and uncomplicated.

I agree, she doesn't quite have a natural aptitude for styling, it amuses me that she has a clothing label.

I do like both of these last looks though, they're not great, but nice enough. Praise the fashion gods she's finally found a good jean style for her body type, versus the monstrosities she was wearing a few months ago.

Yes, and also it's just something about her type, I think. Some women are just not the fashionista-type and should keep their style more simple and classic.
