I really like this girl's sense of style. And I'm feeling her NYC premiere outfit, I just wish she would've worn heels... Anyway, I think she's gorg and I cannot wait to see HP! One more day baby, one more day.
I am starting to think that she, as well as most of the other girls in the HP movies, wear flats to keep from towering over Dan Radcliffe:innocent: .

that is very true, i never thought of that. for the ny premiere, i wish she chose a different top though, it kind of takes away from the overall look.

I just saw that interview and she is so shy. AND it is bizarre hearing her voice! I've only ever hear of Asians with British accents not Scottish. I think she's really cute and its a shame there is so much hate. I guess you should never EVER mess with Harry Potter/Daniel when it comes to girls. Hell, even the older ladies love him.

Back to the comments about her being not "pretty" compared to other Asian girls. Just because she doesn't have a straight nose or fair skin doesn't make her unattractive. She can have those features and still be ugly. The important thing to emphasize is the symmetry of the face and the portions of the features to each other. Generally that is what people think is beauty except for some of coarse. I rate her - average/cute. But if you think about it, they would never cast a insanely pretty girl to play Cho Chang. No one of the cast is gorgeous, they are all just regular kids.

I think she's pretty and her accent is cute. It's weird, because I don't like the character of Cho Chang but I like her.

i think she's pretty but i'm not a fan of her makeup. i think she looks better without the 'sultry' eye makeup.

i'll be honest, when i first saw that she was playing cho chang, i was disappointed. but lately, this girl has really been growing on me!

although i do agree her sense in fashion is a bit... off. but she has a lot of time to grow.

def can't disagree with that, this isn't a bond film here..

I think she is quite pretty(I'm chinese),
but a little bit baby fat (the face),

IMO,her style is much more better than emma.

oh my crap..
that video totally changed my mind about her..
i LOVE the scottish accent.. i want it to be even thicker..
i thought hp was so geeky but now i want to see the film.. (listen to me, i'm calling it 'hp' already)

Hmm she seems like a nice girl. But she looks better in still pictures than she does when she's moving although she looked alright in the film clip. In the interview, she looked quite bad. Maybe they just didn't put enough make up on her as they did in the photo shoots she's had and the premiere she attended.

Hey Everybody!!

I saw Harry Potter last night and it was brilliant!! But in my opinion Katie didn't play in alot of scenes and from what I saw of her, she was mediocre but then again she didn't play in many of the scenes but I think she looks pretty though. And the guy who plays Viktor Krum, whoaa:heart: *drool*

Can we just stop talking about her being an asian and skin whitening cosmetics and her being compared to causasians etc???!! Its ruining the Katie leung thread!!

Anyway...Those blonde hair extensions are awful!! If I was katie, i wouldnt have allowed them to put them in for me! The Dior look a like dress is not flattering either...maybe the real Dior jumper dress would have been miles better!

I have to admit when I saw that first pic of her in the denim, I didnt think she looked that pretty but shes cuter with beautiful hair and make up.

we are here to discuss katie's fashion, and that is IT!!!!! that is why most of us are here. (i am, anyway.)

but when some people read comments that they don't agree with, they bring up BS such as bleaching or wanting to be another race.... or post annoying comments such as "why are people so negative?!" When people bring a tireless point that has absolutely no basis for truth, it is natural for people to want to counter-argue. yes, i agree with you that it should further be taken to PMs, but people should not bring up issues like bleaching or changing race... in the first place. it does not belong here!

and thank you very much, vp, for standing up and making a good point. it seems like people love telling other people what to do around here.

Dreamland, what is your problem?? I have not been personally rude to you or anyone else here..I dont get why you have to show me so much attitude and patronise me. I have done nothing but been nice to you offering you help with the chanel reissue.
You dont need to be so harsh to me or Pucci. WE have not been rude to you in particular and I was not talking directly to you abou your posts. Btw, I am not being bossy I am making a point of sticking to the thread.

I do not appreciate you calling me bossy..so leave it out!

Dreamland, you have got a problem, this is not very well behaved, and rather common to come out with an outburst like that.

And by the way, the comment 'why are people so negative' was not directed particularly at you.

I love Katie.

I think it's so sad that she get's so much critisism because she got the role of Cho. I know a lot of people wanted the role, and a lot of people tried out, but she got the role, and she deserved it.

(I still prefer Bonnie Wright, but Katie is gorgeous.)

How tall dya reckon she is, because in some pictures, like the shot of her coming out of her car in her school uniform she seems to be quite tall yet in others, she seems quite petite. She is cute instead of beautiful but I think that is why I like her. If she was an absolute stunner at her age she would not seem as approachable or as perfect for the role. I am glad that finally there is a publicised role for a young chinese girl without her being Lucy Lui or kong fu eye-candy.

i find this really baffling that she is getting so slammed. if she had really westernized features [or that which is typically consider western or waspy] the producers and her would have gotten really slammed for that instead. they probably chose her out of respect to this whole situation.

it's hard enough for non-white women to get high-profile entertainment jobs in the western industry. especially where they aren't stereotyped as the typical asian seductress. and when they do, their own community turns on them. wow, what a no win situation.
