Keira Knightley

I think it's great that she's donating her dress to such a great cause. There's a charity called "The Clothes Off Our Back" (http://www.clothesoffourback.org/) which has been auctioning off celebrity donated clothes for children's charities for a long time. I'm not sure why this is getting so much publicity.

I've heard stories about the people who buy the award show dresses, and they're usually bought for proms, weddings, or other big events.

According to the Daily Telegraph newspaper she's going to take on the role of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady

She had 1 kid in a film called Pure.

The original quote is in a slightly different context to the story.

How about marriage?
Not right now,no. You know, I've been married five times in films, had three children and countless purposals-and all before I'm 20! So I think that's quite enough.Plus, I don't know how you'd top the wedding I had in Love Actually.

Boy, does she sound cynical.

That was an article built upon the quote dust monkey posted - the article made her sound cynical. I find it really, really funny how much the perception of a person can change just in how an article is written using what the actress did in fact say - they can completely change around the meaning in such a variety of ways.

Personally, I could see Keira as Eliza Dolittle, but I'd hate for a remake, and for Keira to have to live up to Audrey Hepburn. It's probably just a rumor, anyway - it sounds more like wishful thinking than an actuality. But, you know, I've been wrong before.

According to a video report posted on www.keiraweb.com , her Oscar dress was a size 6....
Now, I wonder if that's an American or European size.

For some reason, I have a hard time picturing Keira Knightley as an american size 6  Not that a 6 is huge by any means, but I'd assume Keira is smaller. She is incredibly slim, and a 6 in Hollywood is actually rather large :innocent:

British actress KEIRA KNIGHTLEY is expected to hit London's West End in the challenging role of ELIZA DOOLITTLE in a stage production of MY FAIR LADY. Knightley is reportedly "desperate" to play the cockney flower girl who is transformed into a well-spoken socialite, a part made famous by AUDREY HEPBURN in the 1964 screen adaptation. And theatre mogul SIR CAMERON MACKINTOSH, who produced the 2001 production starring UK soap star MARTINE MCCUTCHEON, is keen to consider the PRIDE AND PREJUDICE beauty for his new version, despite her lack of theatre experience. A pal says, "Keira was studying the script madly while filming the sequels to PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN in the Bahamas. "She is due to have a session with Sir Cameron's musical director in London. Keira is a huge fan of musicals and is desperate to do it."

Someone mentioned this earlier and I got this sent to me so thought I'd share. :flower:

Keira had two children in Dr. Zhivago and in Pure she was pregnant. In King Arthur she took care of kid sorta, but it wasn't hers.

Dear Keira,
You make me feel good about my little boobies!

Love Sarah

I think that West End stage production is a really good opportunity for her!

Oh my, the idea of a size 6 being too large for hollywood scares me!
