I have it, I shall post it in a few.
I DUMPED WORLD'S SEXIEST ACTRESS Oct 3 2004
Keira's first love on the schoolgirl star
By Andy Buckwell
JUST a few days ago Keira Knightley was voted the sexiest movie actress of all time.
Still only 19 years old, the star of Bend It Like Beckham, Love Actually and Pirates Of The Caribbean won her astonishing title ahead of legends like Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot in a poll by film magazine Empire.
Which makes student MattLeo Dean feel really stupid. Because he DUMPED Keira when she was his girlfriend at Teddington School in West London five years ago.
He only did it because he'd heard on the grapevine that she was about to dump him - but that doesn't make him feel any better today.
Student MattLeo, also 19, recalls: "I had fancied Keira for two years since we started school and we were in the same youth theatre group, Heatham House, so we hung out quite a bit.
"One day at school I just decided to ask her out and did it in front of loads of our classmates. I really thought she would say no and everyone would laugh at me so I didn't even wait for a reply - I just walked off.
"I suddenly heard Keira retort, 'that was not very romantic, was it'. I ran back, got down on one knee and said 'Keira Knightley, will you go out with me?'
"I couldn't believe my luck when she said 'Yes'. I had always found Keira to be quite stuck up.
"She was quite controlling. We went to the cinema one night and had to watch what she wanted to watch - it was some girlie thing, I can't even remember what it was.
"If we hung out after school it was always where she wanted to go. We were both only 14 so our relationship was quite innocent although there was lots of snogging after school.
"Ironically when we started dating we were playing lead parts opposite each other at our youth theatre. The play was After Juliet, which was written by Keira's mum Sharman MacDonald.
"Keira was Juliet and I was her love interest, Valentine."
MattLeo gave up acting despite Mrs MacDonald's attempts to persuade him to follow in her daughter's footsteps, and is now at Glamorgan University in Wales studying for a media degree.
He said his relationship with Keira - now dating model Jamie Dornan - was over almost before it had begun.
"She was already getting work as an actress and was going off to Prague to film Oliver Twist. Some friends of ours hinted to me that she was planning to dump me before she went.
"I was really annoyed about that, and didn't want her have the upper hand again so I stormed into our drama club after school and said 'Keira, I don't think we should go out any more'.
"She looked at me and snapped, 'Well I was going to dump YOU anyway'."
"She never went out with any other guys from school even though everyone fancied her. I think she felt she was way too good for us, so I'm pleased I can say she chose me."
Even as a schoolgirl Keira's star quality was apparent and her classmates in form 11BS correctly tipped her as "most likely to be famous" in the school yearbook from 2001.
Pictures in the book show an attractive and apparently popular girl - far from the lonely, bullied childhood which Keira, who also claims she has dyslexia, has described.
In one interview she said: "I kept my head down in school. I was very quiet. I had a few friends, but not many. I certainly wasn't one of the popular people. When I was very little kids called me stupid because I couldn't read.
"I wasn't happy in school partly because I wanted to do something else. I was just absolutely not happy being there. I was lucky enough to have an escape route." Although MattLeo remained close to Keira throughout her time at school, he has now revised his view of her.
He said: "I hate to say it but I think fame has really gone to her head - I don't think she has coped too well suddenly going from a schoolgirl to Hollywood star.
"She is coming out with all these ludicrous stories about being bullied and disliked at school. That is so far from the truth - everyone idolised her."
The dyslexia claim has also been roundly dismissed by the school who say there was never any evidence of her having the reading problem. Donna Bain who was in Keira's drama class at school, said: "Keira was a very talented actress and always off filming. We never doubted she would become a star. She never once appeared in any of our school productions though.
"Why would she want to do that when she was being paid to appear in professional productions and films?
"Her life was different to ours - she was becoming quite well-known especially when we were studying for GCSEs and she was filming Bend It Like Beckham.
"Keira came from a very supportive, loving and financially stable background and was popular and talented. Every opportunity just fell at her feet."
Neighbours in Teddington paint a picture of a girl who was ambitious but self-obsessed. Tim Hurst, who has known the Knightley family for years, added: "A lot of people liked Keira. She is extremely attractive with gorgeous big blue eyes and lovely hair. She knew how to make the most of her looks."
Zia Dean, who runs a local hardware store, said: "Keira often comes in here with her mum to buy bits for the house. She is very pretty but I think she is well aware of that. Keira will walk around town wearing the lowest cut jeans and the smallest crop tops. She is obviously proud of her body and likes to show it off."
One neighbour who did not want to be named added: "The only time you see her now is getting into a limo which picks her up in the mornings. They are a lovely family but they have become very private since Keira became famous.
"They used to be a very sociable bunch but now they keep themselves to themselves a lot more, which is a shame."
Another figure from Keira's past has revealed how she secretly hatched plans to marry her older boyfriend of the time, Del Synnott, 26.
Dominique Middleton, of Urban Retreat beauty salon, recalled how Keira and Del used to visit her for treatments.
"They were a lovely couple, really content and at ease in each other's company despite Keira being quite a bit younger than Del.
"Keira has been coming in here since she was 17 to have her legs and bikini line waxed and sometimes for a massage and facial.
"She was quite conscious of her appearance - she is stunning and she wanted to look her best especially before castings.
"She never thought she would ever get as far as she has. She would be really nervous before a big casting and often she would come in to sit in one of the relaxation rooms with the incense burning just to chill out.
"Del used to come in for massages while she was having her waxing. They often chatted to us and would discuss their wedding plans. "I don't think they wanted to get married immediately because they were both busy with work but they definitely wanted to do the whole big white wedding thing in a few years.
"You could imagine them as a married couple, living in a big house with a few children running around them. They had it all mapped out.
"I was shocked when they split up but Keira has always wanted to be an actress and I guess when things took off Del was left by the wayside.
"She is a very sexual person and carries it well. She also has a maturity well above her years and is very cunning - she knows the way she looks will get her far."
