Keira Knightley

ahhh what a stunner. she pulls almost everything off. I also think its rude to think someone is less feminine because they are thin. She is still very feminine, I just think you need to know how to accent your assets and downplay what you don't think is as great. I think she does that well.

Keira's absolutely stunning. I recently watched Atonement and she has this amazing screen presence. That green dress that she wore in Atonement is to die for!

Keira's still in hiding :( In the wake of any new pics, this is the best Keira style-related thing I could find. An interview with her stylist, Leith Clark in today's guardian (If mods think it doesn't belong here, feel free to delete):

Who do you style?

I have my own magazine called Lula and I style Keira Knightley, among others.
What are you wearing today?
A Topshop dress I bought before Christmas when I went back to Canada, where I'm from. A Phillip Lim jacket that I ordered from the show last season and shoes by Maloles, which were a gift from the label. Tilda's collar is from Mulberry. It's the first day she has worn it.
Did you subconsciously tone your outfit with Tilda?
No. I was planning to wear a Rodarte dress today, but I had a weird morning and thought I would wear something that was more like a uniform. The easiest thing to wear is a dress and a jacket, and I always have a pair of Chanel flats on me. It's partly because I have a dog and so I can go to the park and play. You can't in heels, no matter how high or low they are.
Does Tilda wear dog clothes?
She has a grandfather-green cardigan to keep her warm in the winter.
Describe your style.
Lolita is the wrong word, but I guess it's quite playful and eclectic. If I want to buy something, it's usually for some sort of nostalgic reason - because it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland or Little Orphan Annie. I think we are most true to our tastes when we are young and before anyone has told us what we should like.
Has your style never changed then?
Probably not. I think I dressed the best at high school - I'm 28 now. I was experimenting with things for the first time. Now I know that certain clothes mean certain things. In high school, I wore old men's sock gaiters with thigh-high socks. It didn't cross my mind that it was sexual.I just thought it was cool. Now I wouldn't do it.
Is your fringe your trademark?
I guess so. I've had it since I was 15. I'm not a very upkeep girl, so I have to be reminded that it's time to cut it.
So are you quite low maintenance?
With beauty things, yes. I don't wear makeup very often - I like my freckles.
Do you swap clothes with friends and clients?
Only a select few - people I have sleepovers with.
What is the most expensive thing you have ever bought?
I try not to dwell on the price because otherwise you convince yourself not to buy something. When I was 15, I didn't buy a pair of Miu Miu shoes because they were expensive. They still haunt me now. I once bought three pairs of Chloé shoes in two weeks because they had appointed a new designer and I was nervous.
Do you dress differently when you are in Canada?
No, but I wear jeans and that makes me feel lazy so I don't do it that often. It makes my boyfriend happy when I wear jeans, T-shirt and no makeup. I subconsciously try not to do that!
Whose style do you admire?
Marianne Faithfull in the 1960s, and I like the dresses that the Vivian girls wear in Henry Darger's paintings.
How do you decide what to wear in the morning?
I think it should be instinctual and not thought through. If I haven't hung things up, those things don't exist. That means I have less to work with, but sometimes when you give yourself limitations you end up making more fun choices.
On what occasion do you think you looked best? Probably on Sundays when I'm not thinking at all. I'll go out for brunch and ask my boyfriend if I look a little nuts and he'll say, "Yes, but it's cute." I pair things that I don't really think look nice together, but then it's Sunday so I don't care and then I end up getting ideas from the nutsness.

You said she looks amazing when she's not "stripping and showing off what she doesn't have in terms of actual womanly curve",it just sounded like you where saying she was sl*tty, which I thought was rude.
 Please pose for a minute before putting vulgar slurs in other poster's mouth.
People are so damned touchy these days! 'Womanly curves' is commonly understood to refers to round breasts, buttocks and hips. It is plain to the eyes that Keira hasn't much of either. The OP didn't imply Keira wasn't a woman, just that she didn't have much curves. Now, you might find that attractive, good for you, but the OP has perfect right to find it either unattractive or unphotogenic. She is perfectly entitled to her opinion regarding what she thinks looks good on a cover and what doesn't. As it is, a lot of people (on this forums and others) agree with her.

Please let's not have that political correctness rubbish infect the TSF.

:woot:thanks Harumi and Fairy for exactly getting what I was stating.:flower:

I guess being a newbie means easily targeted by some on here. Sometimes it makes me not even bother posting or visiting this site.

I never said that Keira had "womanly curves" I was restateing what Kamelot said.Kamelot is the one who first used the term.Yes,Kamelot is entitled to her own opinion and so am I.The point I was bringing up was that Kamelot said "she looks amazing when she's not stripping and showing off what she doesn't have in terms of actual womanly curve",and to me it was rude and to me it implied that she was calling Keira a sl*t,which is what I'm sure alot of people think of when the here those words. I wasn't putting "vulgar slurs in other poster's mouth",that is what I thought she was implying.Kamelot,I wasn't "targeteding" you I thought your statment was rude and if anyone would have said it I would have said so it's not because you're new.

^Yeah, she used to have real clunkers of outfits, when she had short blonde hair she wore terrible hippie/prairie clothes. Really disgusting stuff

^ Even with a stylist, sometimes she makes some blunders, but she pulls them off because she always looks like she oozes bucket-loads of confidence, and probably still would even if she was told to wear a paper bag, lol.

she always looks like she oozes bucket-loads of confidence,

You think so? I always think it's the opposite, she looks unsure and unhappy. I never see confidence in her at appearances.

It looks dark with some blond highlights! I am so glad she finally walked outside! She is even smiling in one. I love her winter wardrobe, I must confess.

I am shocked to see her! If only her and Kerry would have dragged the boys out with them.
