Blake is a very good actress given the right part. I don't know why bashing is allowed as long as you don't do it in the persons thread.

I wouldn't want to see Keira in that role either, she doesn't fit. Sometimes I have the feeling that her name just gets mentioned for any random part just to generate attention for the project. Which is good for her, I guess.

^ A lot of actresses read for the same roles though. Depending on how popular the actress and the project is, particularly if it's something like The Great Gatsby. I know that Jessica Alba once talked about getting all the jobs that Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson turned down, so it's all quite cyclical in Hollywood. Although, I agree with you, I think putting Keira and Natalie's names together on any "new project" would easily generate buzz in the media.

^Anne Hathaway once said the same, that she gets offered the parts after actresses like Scarlett, Keira and Natalie turned them down and if she doesn't take them there are others further down the list who might get an Oscar for it and then top the list for some time getting parts she'd die to play. It's all so contrived.

Apparently Keira is more set on theatre these days. She will be in Children's Hour, a play by Lillian Hellman at the Comedy Theatre, in the West End early next year.
