Not really a fan of the Oscar dress.The upper part looks nice but the bottom is terrible. But many people seem to love it so I guess it's a matter if you like the mermaid-thing, personally I don't think it's very flattering.
Poor girl seems to be working and attending award shows so much lately that she looks completely exhausted, which doesn't really help.

she looked so stoned at the Oscars. The necklace was too much and the dress really made her look squat and old. She had wide hips and frankly I think the dress was a poor choice for that body type. and who is doing her make up!?!?!?!? she looked soooo old.
She looks so much better in lighter colors, she looked great in white at the Globes and BAFTAs.

The hair was not cute but I loved the dress! Great color. Must have been uncomfortable though since she changed into another for the Vanity Fair party.

I think she looked jaded at the oscars because she knew she wasn't going to win. I wouldn't be that buzzing either. It's like sitting through something boring to get to the good booze afterwards. Although once inside she seemed to be enjoying herself more.

Plus all those stupid red carpet interviewers ask you the same bloody questions over and over.

I want to get it too; I find I enjoy movies (like this) that I really want to see more on dvd where I can concentrate on the film and see the features and commentary! I hated Moulin Rouge until I heard the director's commentary and now it's one of my favorites(I didn't realize how much I didn't know I was looking at!)

I thought she looked ghastley at the Oscars. That huge dress, dark make up, crazy neclace and wild hair was too much. If she's going to wear something really flashy, everthing else needs to be toned down and simple. She knows how to dress classy, her GG dress was breathtaking.

Does anyone have a picture of her actually smiling? That would have helped a whole lot.

I've become addicted to Domino since I bought the dvd which baffles me because I didn't like it that much in theaters.

I wish Keira would do more commentaries. I adored her POTC commentary.

Keira: expected to be the new face of Chanel



She is favourite to pick up a best actress award at tonight's Oscars, but Keira Knightley already has cause to celebrate even if she fails to land a golden statuette.

The Mail on Sunday has learned that the 20-year-old actress is set to become the new 'face' of Chanel cosmetics.
Knightley - already one of Britain's highest-earning stars, making £6 million last year - is finalising a three-year deal with the cosmetics giant said to be worth $1million (£570,000) a year.



The contract will put her in direct competition with disgraced model Kate Moss, who was dumped by Chanel last year after being exposed snorting cocaine.

Moss, 32, now the £1million-a-year poster girl for rival cosmetics firm Rimmel, was said to be 'furious' that Chanel ended her £750,000-a-year contract to promote Coco perfume. A source said: "Keira loves Chanel and she is perfect for them. Not only is she gorgeous but, unlike Kate, she has never been touched by scandal. Chanel is expected to announce the deal any day."

Knightley, who already has a £1million contract to promote Royal jewellers Asprey, is tipped to wear a Chanel couture dress on the red carpet tonight.
The source added: "Keira is one of the most beautiful women in the world and becoming the face of Chanel is a dream come true. She will promote their cosmetics and make-up line worldwide.

"It's a huge deal. They are just dotting the i's and crossing the t's but the contract is done."

Knightley, up for an award for her role as Elizabeth Bennet in Pride & Prejudice, has just finished filming two sequels to her hit film Pirates Of The Caribbean with Johnny Depp and is now working on 19th Century love story Silk with Alfred Molina.

Her next project is a big-screen version of Ian McEwan's best-selling novel Atonement, which will begin shooting in June.

The actress, who shot to fame four years ago in Bend It Like Beckham, has played down her stunning good looks, revealing that her image is regularly improved by airbrushing in movie posters and ad campaigns.

She said recently: "I know that my face has got me jobs and that's just the way it is. But what happens is that you sit for two-and-ahalf hours in front of the mirror covering up your imperfections.

"Airbrushing is sort of nice because I always get acne, so it's great when they take it out digitally - I wish they could do that in my everyday life." Knightley, whose earnings this year are likely to top £10million, bought a £1.5million mansion in Mayfair last year and owns a £1million home in California. She recently started dating Pride & Prejudice co-star Rupert Friend.
