British actress Keira Knightley has been voted the world's sexiest woman in a magazine poll, ahead of model Keeley Hazel and Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson in second and third places.
The poll, which British magazine FHM said was based on two million votes, put Angelina Jolie, expecting a baby in mid-May, in fourth spot.
Beyonce Knowles was the sexiest pop star at number seven, and Russian tennis player Maria Sharapova the top sportswoman at number 56.
FHM said the poll was the only one of its kind voted for entirely by the British public.
Meanwhile, Chanel has selected Knightley as the new face of its Coco Mademoiselle fragrance.
The 21-year-old Pride & Prejudice star will appear in Chanel ads beginning in 2007, the company says.
Knightley succeeds Kate Moss, whose contract expired last October.
"Keira Knightley is a bright, young actress who has already made her mark in a diverse portfolio of films," Chanel artistic director Jacques Helleu said.
He also said Knightley's elegance, beauty and modernity matched some of the brand's other previous faces, including Catherine Deneuve and Nicole Kidman, who represented Chanel No. 5.
