Keira Knightley

I like Keira K. but I'm starting to go off her. I didn't like that Elle interview too much. Yeah, most people swear in everyday life but I got the impression she is swearing to appear normal as Susie_Bubble said, "swearing for effect". It just seems forced. Unfortunatley I do have a mouth like a sailor but it's a vulgar habit I'm trying to tone down , not consciously keep doing like she seems to be. Does anyone else think that the swear word jewellery she makes is just childish and tacky, and kinda reinforces that she is just swearing cuz she thinks it's cool or something and people will like her more?

Well, Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts exchanged "little c---t" and "c---t" necklaces during the filming of "Closer." So Keira's not the only one with swear jewelry. ;)

But like the article says, Keira does probably have to overcompensate. Can you imagine meeting strangers who automatically assume you're a b*tch or something just because you're an actress? It's quite an unnerving feeling. Sure, it comes with the territory, but just saying. She's human. She might just be super eager to offset some stereotypes of actresses.

I think she is so determined to portray herself as normal she overdoes it. I actually find it a bit annoying - it's OK to swear a little but it seems so forced when she does it.

i have a feeling she swore a lot because she was nervous. that always happens to me. and she's said that dealing with the media makes her very uneasy and anxious.

anyway, she's gorgeous as usual. le sigh.

Hope this hasn't been posted, I scanned it from Instyle magazine :)

Well I see nothing wrong with cursing. I'm actually annoyed it isn't allowed more because I like it and I don't see why it's so damned horrible.

As for the swear word jewelery I've got a crystal penis charm I wear around my neck every day and a bunch of shirts with "smartass" words on 'em. I think it's funny to see people get so flustered over something so silly.

Haha. I'm not so sure about the penis charm, but swearing isn't really that big a deal.

I hate it when people curse, it's like, didn't you get an education? Of course I understand you do it when you are angry, nervous or whatever, but cursing without a reason it's so unclassy and unpolite, as if people weren't capable of using better words.

She's cute :)

I don't think it sounds uneducated to swear. Personally I think people sound snooty when they refuse to cuss.

Wheter you think swearing is good or not the point is with Keira the swearing just seemed like a real effort on her part, whereas when most peolpe curse it just comes out of their mouth they don't really think about it. I mean I have to make a conscious effort not to swear and it just seemed she was doing the exact opposite.
