She looks amazing at the press conference, love the suit with patent booties, beautiful:D

I've watched it yesterday, she looks gorgeous and is really well in it - I don't feel this is an award winning performance, though.
First half is way better than the second, but overall, it's a great movie. And the straight shoot with Mcavoy is probably one of the best things I've seen in films, like, ever. Just breathtaking. I wish Joe Wright was related to me in some way!

Atonement is leading the London Critic's Circle Awards with Keira getting a nomination for British Actress of the Year. The award ceremony will take place on February 8th in London, I hope she goes to this as well as the Golden Globes!

now we know those bangs weren't real, im wondering if there's anything in her contract with chanel that would prevent her from doing a drastic hair change, yah know?

so happy she's nominated...im almost done with the book and cant wait to see the film!

Gorgeous at the press conference!
I love it when she smiles

I really want to see Atonement... It's not out here until Boxing Day

I saw a special screening of Atonement here in Hollywood a few nights ago which was followed by a Q&A with Joe Wright (director), his cinematographer, the production designer, the property mistress, the sound editor and the costumer was meant to be there but she had to miss (her bebe was poorly :( )
Anyway, I loved this film so much- it is gorgeous, made my throat ache from holding in tears and Keira really impressed me. She and James deservedly got GG noms as did the crew in various capacity.
I liked especially one tidbit the cinematographer (who is also nominated for a GG) shared.
He gave Keira and everyone else their luminous, glorious shine in the 1st act of the film from his ingenuity of taking vintage 1960's Christian Dior black hose and putting them over the back end of the camera. B)

ps- Bel, I am loving your title right now:p

oh thanks for sharing that with us, Orchide!
i havent seen the movie yet, only read the book!

I hadn't read the book so I went in blind and came out weepy
I must also emphasize on a superficial note, Keira has never looked better. She was made for the 30's

i think Keira's beauty transcends cinematic periods/time. she could look like someone taken out of the late 1700s (Pride & Prejudice) to the present time (Love Actually). i'm happy with her nomination. great film, brilliant direction and stunning performances

I´ve never seen this early Picture before, hope it´s not a repost.

That was the very same with me, I completely wasn't expecting the ending so it came as such a shock! I love how you said it made your throat ache from holding in the tears too because I was just the same

It's times like this that I wish movies were released everywhere at the same time because it really doesn't seem fair that us in the UK have seen this film months in advance of people in the US, if anyone in America has a multi region DVD player though the dvd will be out in the UK at the end of Feb!
