Keira Knightley

Out of all the outfits, the ones I really didn't like were the first one, eight, nine and ten. The Grecian-style dress she wore at the Atonement premiere ...it would have looked better on someone with a fuller figure. Nine just looked...odd and ten looks like she hung Christmas tree lights on her body! Other than that, lovely outfits!

Oh man, I beg to differ ... I adore Keira in Rodarte! Will always love her in that classy Rolande Mouret dress too.

I agree with you, kmccormi. Keira was made for Rodarte! And I adore that Mouret dress as well- that look really suits her cause it makes her look fuller.

she was made for rodarte i completely agree!

i havent seen the duchess yet, not until tomorrow! but im hoping an oscar nod. because even in the trailers she puts on an amazing performance. haha.

^The Duchess is Keira's most matured film she nailed to a Tee.
it's so weird how Duchess Georginana and Princess Diana's life paralleled each other as far as love. and to think they are of the same lineage.... which makes it even more weirder

i have only praises for The Duchess ... i might see it again.

Oh yay! I'm glad to hear such a great review from you, smartarse. It makes me look forward to seeing it even more.

I have yet to see The Duchess, but a friend of mine did and she said Keira was superb. Another great point she raised is that it's entirely Keira's film. It's all about her character and she's in each and every scene and so there's every chance that she'll be regarded for some sort of award next year because her talent is entirely on show. I've got my fingers crossed in any case.

On another note, I heard that Johnny Depp is getting paid obscene amounts of money to reprise his role in a new pirates movie. Does anybody know if that's true and if Keira's attached to it?

Keira is NOT going to be a part of Pirates 4. Sometimes I get sad, but sometimes I think that is what is best for her. I believe both her and Orlando are out of the picture- which seems odd to me, but I could tell that is where they were going when they ended the third. And I agree about hoping she gets some sort of recognition for The Duchess. But who knows.

Also, Fliss- thank you! That first picture is dreamy and I love it when Keira helps out with charity.

Thank you for the pics!

I cant wait to see the Duchess- might be another 2 or 3 weeks for me, school is keeping me terribly busy at the moment. But I do hope that she gets some recognition for the role- although I havent seen the movie yet, I read the book, and she is quite a complex character to portray.

the duchess is keira's best picture to date. she is superb in it, really superb, and even though she is in it for the whole thing, quite literally she is in every scene, you don't get tired of her. if she doesn't get an oscar nod i will be shocked and annoyed. she was amazing in the duchess, really.

You really believed her, which is a new thing for keira... you really thought she was georgiana. Her emotion seemed real, and that's what makes this so incredible, because some of the themes of the duchess would be foreign to her (or any other 20 something actress), but you believed her emotions when she was reacting to certain things. I was blown away, and i'm not even the biggest keira fan. the duchess certainly changed my opinion of her.

so i whole-heartedly recommend it. :)
(hehe long post, but it's all true!)

i just saw the duchess last night! keira was honestly fantastic. im really hoping she'll get an oscar nod, i think this is her year. the duchess was HER film. if you havent seen it, go out and see it, its really truly an amazing performance. and im not just saying this because i'm a big fan of keira!

Keira is NOT going to be a part of Pirates 4.

In case anyone else was as clueless as I was at this statement! Here's the most recent article I could find, although it's also the most vague.

Johnny Depp may have signed on for a fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean,” but Keira Knightley is jumping ship.

The films “were completely amazing, but I think I can’t wear corsets for a while,” she told MTV. “I had an amazing journey with those three films. But I think it’s time to do different things.”

Such as?

“The Edge of Love” (2009): She’s Vera Phillips, lover of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (Matthew Rhys).
“The Beautiful and the Damned” (2009): A Jazz Age love story about Zelda and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Nick Cassavetes will direct.
“King Lear” (2010): She’d play Cordelia, the sweet youngest daughter in Shakespeare’s tragedy. Her co-stars: Anthony Hopkins, Gwyneth Paltrow and Naomi Watts.
“My Fair Lady”: As Eliza Doolittle, yes, she would sing. “It would be exciting to try,” she told MTV.

 wow...

but those actually sound like amazing movies! King Lear... the story of F. Scott Fitzgeral... directed by Cassavetes (!) and one about Dylan Thomas!! :woot: I can see why she wouldn't want to turn those down!

The Beautiful And The Damned sounds like it would be amazing! I love Fitzgerald and to see something like that on film would be really interesting.

And working with Anthony Hopkins would be an absolute dream. What a mix of stars!

i've seen half of The edge of love and it's really a boring, bad, pointless and cheap looking movie; Keira looks gorgeous in it but her acting is kinda bad the script is also bad; cillian was the only good part of the movie

honestly her latest movies dissapointed me ( Silk and The edge of love were incredibly boring and Atonement was not as great as people say)
i have hopes for The duchess it looks really interesting
