#975 The "A Dangerous Method" trailer looks promising. I'm not completely convinced with her Russian accent yet, but she doesn't speak much in the trailer. Her acting on the other hand looks very good. It's a different kind of character for her. And she looks stunning as usual.

I predict Oscar buzz.

Oscars have been won on worse accents than that! Beside. Mentally ill young woman who likes kinky sex with moustached men is right up the Academy's street. I suppose we really have to wait to see how it goes down at Venice & Toronto. Natalie's Oscar buzz started at Venice so fingers crossed.

Nothing is confirmed until the end of July, when they'll hold a press conference.
There are only some suppositions (some more likely than other ones). So it's pretty sure that A Dangerous Method will be there, as well as the new Polansky movie...

The trailer looks so good and the cast is filled with actors I love! Not sure about her accent too but maybe I can overcome that when watching the film.

Well, they also confirmed that The Ides of March is opening the festival. I don't see why it wouldn't.

They always say what film opens the festival some weeks before the press conference in which they announce the official program.
But anyway, it's practically sure that A Dangerous Method will be presented in Venice... just it's not been officially confirmed.

Am I the only one who noticed that at one point her accent is Russian and then in another is almost American? I don't know if that's part of her character's psychosis or just a slip on her behalf but it totally threw me off in the trailer.

I did. The part where she's like, "If you ever want to find me, I live in that building there" sounds VERY American. I thought I was the only one who noticed it. It doesn't look like her acting is going to be very good in this, but I'll reserve judgment for the film. Trailers can be deceiving sometimes. I am looking forward to seeing what she wears for the press tour.

I hesitate to make any calls on her accent, her acting, or anything about this film until I see the entire thing. Judging by reactions from people lucky enough to see it, Keira hits the nail on the head! MORE IMPORTANTLY:

I miss seeing her face! Cannot wait for press. Judging by how gorgeous she looked during the Venice Film Festival last time I cannot wait!

Really? That was the part where I thought she sounded most Russian. I believe her character is Russian-Jewish. I think surprisingly, she managed to blend both in well.

I didn't hear much of a Russian accent at all, save for one part. I think it's where she's like, "Do you want to stop?" to Jung (Fassbender's character), but other than that she sounded either British or American. To me anyway. But yeah, I'm gonna wait to see the finished product before I judge.
