From Canada.com: Premier Gordon Campbell and actor Kristin Kreuk were at the Steve Nash Sports Club in Vancouver Thursday to remind people to conserve energy.

How many British Columbians does it take toturn off a lightbulb?
Four million, if Premier Gordon Campbell and B.C. Hydro have their way.

In a bid to reduce energy consumption by 20 per cent, they launched Team Power Smart yesterday. Led by basketball star Steve Nash and a host of local celebrities, the group aims to conserve electricity with a flick of the switch.

I hope she does something after Smallville, she's going to be type cast as Lana Lang forever.

She actually got a lot of recognition for her role in the movie Partition!

She's also working on a documentary with Mark Hildreth which is pretty cool heres a description:

"This looks interesting. It’s a link to a YouTube video (they’re not allowing embedding for some reason) that talks about a documentary being done to allow combat veterans from Iraq to share their stories and hopefully promote a better understanding of what they experience over there and over here when they get back. It is produced by Mark Hildreth and Kristin Kreuk (naturally, the tie-in is my Smallville addiction. Sue me.) I’ll share more details as I get them."

I think she'll be in many independent artsy movies I don't think smallville is where she ends at all!

Smallville star Kristin Kreuk, aka Lana Lang, has been cast in the upcoming live-action film Street Fighter movie as Chun-Li
According to Comingsoon.net, Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li starts filming in Thailand in March 2008.
LatinoReview got their paws on an early version of the script. Here are some spoiler-rific bits:
– The new flick centers on one character: Chun-Li. That’s it. No Ryu, no Ken, no Guile, no eight million characters.
– Chun-Li’s mother dies and now she has no one. She searches out a man called Gen and it is he who tells her that her father is actually still alive in the hands of Bison. Chun-Li then trains with Gen. She becomes faster! Stronger! She is…THE STREET FIGHTER!
– The movie is a revenge flick plain and simple. There’s some awesome kung-fu action in the script but there’s no fireballs. No sonic booms. No flash kicks. Pure and simple Chun-Li is on a mission to find her father and take down Bison.
