Whats your take in this swiss brand .. it seems very much luxurious ... but is it worth it?

I want you guys to share experiences about them ... with those price tags ...shud we go for it?

I use La Prarie's cellular eye moisturizer spf 15 the so-called 'smart eye cream' and I'm very happy with it.
It doesn't give me millia, it's not greasy, and it moisturizes nicely.

For me, the sensitive and unpredictable skin type, La prairie I can use one a month, means that I use in my facial regular. When it comes to daily routine, la prairie is not good for me.

A week after facial using La prairie, my skin become smooth, firm and looks healthy. I really love my look.

I thought La Prairie was exclusively for women older than 99% of everyone here  It seems I was wrong   :innocent:

I've heard from other and this forums that most people who use it think its a bit oily ... is it?

*bump* I just ordered La Prairie's Cellular treatment and now I am starting to worry it might not be for me.

Is it oil-free?

I can only speak for the eye cream..I haven't tried others..

I just recieved an email from them saying all the products they carry have oil in them  . I still might try a small bit of it and see....but I hate gambling with my skin.

They have a very good foundation which is in the same time a concealer,it's called Skin Caviar concealer foundation, it's a bit grassy for oily skin, but with some powder,it's just wonderful,I never have seen such as foundation, though it's very expensive for a foundation 150euros or 180US$!

It's been two weeks and.....my skin looks amazing! I am so glad I bought this    A few spots appeared around nose/chin, but they were very small and the makeup covered the so well you couldn't even tell :p. My skin is very soft, smooth and glowing. It's perfect for the dry weather too. There is a fragrance in it, but it is the oil they use....I can't think of the name now, I will look it up later. Anyway, two thumbs up!!

I have tried a sample of some cream (dont recall the name) IT WAS MARVELOUS!
And the lipsticks are devine. Not too many colors but the texture is wonderful.

i LIVE for La Prairie. i've used almost everything. their cleansers, toners (i hate alcohol-free toners) cellular treatment serums, day and night creams, microdermabrasion, masks, eye creams, even their skin caviar foundation (was bought on a whim...returned it because i have such fabulous skin and didnt want to cover it up)

Their products are very concentrated, and you need to use literally just the smallest amounts they recommend. That might be why people end up thinking their products are oily, or that their skin turns oily, from overuse. i use the skin caviar luxe cream at night, and since it retails for $650 (it was a gift) i use it so sparingly. i have sensitive skin too, and cant live without their Anti-Redness Nurturing Cream. it retails for $175 and i'm usually out of it after 4 months which means i overuse it but it makes any irritation i might experience from shaving disappear and my skin is left glowing.

LOVE and LIVE for La Prairie.

i totally agree. you're suppose to use a damp sponge for light application and your fingers for medium coverage. I tried just applying with my fingers and it was too heavy. I switched to a damp sponge and it was perfect.

Tomorrow I'm purchasing their Retexturizing Booster with Glycolic Acid and their Cellular Softening and Balancing Lotion. I used to be so faithful to La Prairie and then strayed for about a year or so and now I'm obsessed again since using the Retexturizer serum and seeing instant glow in my face. The glycolic acid is in the top 5 ingredients, and you need only two pumps for your whole face.
Someone else should reply to this thread so I didnt bump it for nothing.

My mom uses this line exclusively. I like the a discontinued product of theirs, it was a set with eye pads and an eye cream that was kind of sparkley. It was the perfect remedey for a long night out drinking a little more than one should.

I LOVE the silver rain perfume, if you've never tried it you should...it's so good.

Thanks for your post, SuburbanSnob

Oh fabulous, does your mom live in New York also? Where does she buy her La Prairie? I was at the counter yesterday and wanted so many things. They just came out with a 3 minute peel and a resurfacing cream to follow up with. I love anything that exfoliates the skin. I probably over-exfoliate. :innocent:

I do like the Silver Rain fragrance, it's light and I want the candle scent of it.

Dont you just hate when something you love is discontinued?

^^^

Yep. She gets LP from Neiman Marcus here. The sales assistant is really sweet. Our Bloomingdale's also carries the line.

I've used the resurfacing cream. It's crazy, it's very fine and it's kind of glittery almost (maybe I'm crazy but I swear it was)

I have two jars of the cream that came with the eye pads but it's not the same. I've been thinking of ordering from Strawberrynet but it must be old product and that's kind of icky, kwim?

I worked for them and got alot of products for free.

I didnt like any of them, and broke out alot from them, and wound up giving them away
