Karl and Gaga- two of my favorite people in the whole world!! It just doesn't get any better than this!!

I've preordered the Terry Richardson book and I just can't wait for it to get here! Those previews looked amazing and I believe her when she says she didn't hold anything back. And her Barney's stuff is so great and I love her at the workshop opening!

i want to buy that GAGA book!! does anyone know any places to buy it that would send to Australia and some of the pictures it has inside it?

YAY i just bought the book!! it was in a book store in my town. The pictures in it are so good!!!

The TV Special was amazing- all I could think of was how many new fans she will have now that the general public, who would never watch one of her concerts or videos, got to see her brilliance!! :flower:

she really is quite smart at marketing herself. this was so wholesome and showcases her talent. it was a bit self-indulgent but i enjoyed it. i really like her second verse on white christmas!

she has an EP for this and then the Born This Way Remix album coming out as well right on time for the holidays.

she's never looked as great as she did on the ABC special!art direction, cinematography were all top notch! If only she could cut all the cheese, she'd be absolutely flawless

Yes, she's at that difficult point in her career, where she has put away some of the Downtown Freaky aspects of her presentation and moved to the Grammy Winner/Holiday TV Special with Tony Bennett phase, but needs to not alienate her core fan base- a very delicate balance... But I think her talent and creativity are so overwhelming that she can pull off almost anything at this point... ^_^

Gaga's Thanksgiving special was fantastic- major props to her for directing it by herself. B)

Though a small part in the show, I liked how she answered Katie's question about how she was dressed for their interview. It's true that many casual fans or non fans have a misconception about Gaga's antics and attire.

As a fan from the beginning, I've always loved how she has embraced fashion (and music) as a whole. She has always mixed the "wild" with the more "tame". Sure as a fan there may be certain looks that I prefer but knowing that she is a true fashion lover, she makes it entertaining to watch her because one never knows what she will wear (or do) next.

Thanks to Teja and MrFalconer for the vids and Anet for posting the pics. :flower:

Lady Gaga’s personal anti-bullying message to Etobicoke school

Let’s just say they went gaga.

Students cheered and clapped when a personal video from Lady Gaga was shown at an anti-bullying assembly at Etobicoke School of the Arts on Friday. Up until then, students had no idea she had recorded a message and thank you to them.

Student council president Jacques St. Pierre had to keep a poker face since October, after receiving an email from Lady Gaga’s staff with a link to the video. He decided to keep it a surprise until the assembly.

“I’ve seen it over 300 times,” gushed St. Pierre, a huge fan of the mega pop star, in an interview before the Friday event.

In August, the Grade 12 student wrote to several celebrities — including talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, singer Katy Perry and Tim Gunn from Project Runway — hoping a message from one of them would have a big impact on students as the school launched an anti-bullying campaign.

“Sometimes schools talk about bullying but never make changes,” he said. “I thought if I could get someone as influential as Lady Gaga to speak to students, that would make a change.”

Lady Gaga has been an outspoken anti-bullying crusader in the U.S., outraged over the recent suicide of a gay Buffalo teen who had been targeted. She has been lobbying U.S. politicians — including President Barack Obama — to have bullying made illegal.

Etobicoke School of the Arts students are trying to combat homophobia, racism, sexism and body image issues through performance and plan to take their message to other schools in the Toronto District School Board, said St. Pierre.

On Friday, students took a pledge to “make it better” — an extension of the “it gets better” campaign.

St. Pierre, 17, was bullied in elementary school by students who called him a *** for being interested in theatre and drama.

However, he said his high school has been “amazing and accepting.”
But there’s still work to be done; comments like “don’t be a ***” or “that’s so gay” are still common among teens. And, earlier this year, a private webpage was set up where fellow students posted anonymous comments about one another.

In his letter to Lady Gaga, St. Pierre told her who he is and about the school’s campaign.

“And then I talked about why it would be amazing to hear from her.”

In the video, Lady Gaga says hello to St. Pierre, the school and “talks about how proud she is” of their efforts.

She also implores students to “treat each other with kindness, love, and to accept everyone . . . and that she’s doing her best to make bullying a hate crime.”

She then sends her love and tells them to have a “wonderful day at school and to love each other.”

The video, which runs about one minute, 15 seconds, was the edge of glory for St. Pierre.

“When I showed it to the student council, they all cheered and screamed and freaked out . . . she’s talking directly to (students).”

Welcome to 2012, Gaga style. Ushering ELLE into the New Year is none other than Lady Gaga, intense and engrossing as ever.

The issue, rich with revelations about Gaga’s nine tattoos, teenage drug use and cabaret past, hits newsstands this Wednesday. But you don’t have to wait that long to get a sneak peek of the shoot.

We’ve just released our Behind the Cover video for the January issue. In it, the divine Ms Germanotta frolics and sings along to Electric Chapel as remixed by Two Door Cinema Club.

She also showcases some of spring 2012’s most coveted fashions, from an orange embroidered Alexander McQueen dress to a lavender silk organza dress by Richard Nicoll.

And remember when Gaga wore a white Simone Rocha dress with her ‘mint blonde’ hair? Back in October, the designer told us she would ‘love’ to see Gaga in the green dress. Congratulations, Simone... it’s the cover.
