Lanvin F/W 10.11 : Anja, Magdalena & Mariacarla by Steven Meisel

How underwhelming. I would like to stand in awe over those shots but it merely doesn't work for me. The make-up is hideous, and although it's only a detail, I wanted to see the wigs back for the campaign. The fact those are multi-girl shots doesn't help either, there's no chemistry going on, and bias aside, Magdalena is the only model who looks decent here to me. Such a pity...

I am not loving it. Lanvin ads usually are so different, this looks like an edgier version of any basic ad.

I want to love these but that make-up is horrid
as if they took those wigs and put them on their eyelids
i wanted to the wigs and a lot of movement...i was imaginging it
somewhat like the Versace S/S 07 ads but darker

I love the shot with the white clothes where Mariacarla is front and center.. other than that the others feel like fancy lookbook shots compared to the last few AWESOME Lanvin campaigns.. a lot to live up to.

they scare me.

i like the mirrored image though, just because its mirrored. haha

Fierce b*tches set Lanvin on fire! Love this. It really suits the collection as a whole package.

I love it! Soooo fierce and the clothes are executed perfectly here. Love the lighting and the makeup most of all. The only peeve I have with this is that Anja seems so out of place. In every shot it seems as if she is trying too hard to be fierce. Other than that I'm floored by these shots.

I think the cast suits the theme very well and the styling is awesome. I like it.

I am a little underwhelmed
this campaign should have kicked major butt
the clothes
the models
the photographer
but i am sooo disappointd
mariacarla and anja don't look too nice in this.

Magdalena is a true star of this campaign, Mariacarla look great too but I'm not feeling Anja here, though.

Anyway, I just cannot not love this  The cold colouring looks beautiful, and it did as well in the F/W 09 campaign.

I really like this, although the makeup is bothering me a bit. I like the idea of where they were going with it but it just looks too much and too harsh. But the metallic setting works perfectly with the clothes.

I hate the hair, it ruins Anja & MCB's looks IMO. As for the campaign, nothing exciting, I expected a lot more :(

Hmmm...this is disappointing to me.

I really don't like the fact that they all look so short! I see and understand that they are crouching, but the effect doesn't really read that way, and instead, they all look terribly disproportionate. Additionally, I don't think Anja (no surprise to me) or Mariacarla look that great here...Magda, on the other hand, is looking great, but she always manages to, so, no surprise there.

But overall, it's just too..."fashion." What I love about Lanvin is how real Alber is. He's not a designer who is obsessed with "fashion", he's obsessed with women. To me this looks like a Gucci or Versace ad. I miss the Lanvin ads of a year or two ago and back...they were so different and unique, especially during the Olga era. And to me, those ads really spoke to the vision that was presented on the catwalk. There seems to be a disconnect between what is projected here and what was projected on the catwalk...and I'm not just talking about the black wigs. This is so glossy and over-produced, whereas the runway was very raw and spontaneous.

Look ridiculus the legs are the worst idea mariacarla look so ugky nothing new same styling to old seasson the unique think i like is the ma
ke up and the light

There's something a bit off about this which is a bit disappointing.

1. I don't like how the set has the three girls hunched, it makes them look short.
2. I can't decide if I prefer Anja and Marciacarla's expressions better of Magdalena's. This dilemma come from the fact that Magda's is a bit different from the other two and has a different expression every-time. This feeling is contrary to the runway show where everyone looked the same, gave the same vibe of a dominatrix woman that was going to overtake the place.
3. Don't like the make-up, the eye shadow and the red lipstick is way over the top. It would have been better if they went with just one of them.

Well it's certainly an improvement from last season. One small complaint would be the mass of legs.
It's like trying to spot a Photoshop error. The clothes look exquisite and Mariacarla looks outright fierce.

i'm too claustrophobic to like this .... even the mirror effect (that i've already liked for Lanvin) panicks me, there ...
and i hate the overuse of photoshop effect ...

it's way too agressive ... and i don't understand why ...
it looks like women in a zoo .... it's understable as an idea, but it's sooo badly executed ! glamazons ? i got the idea of glamazons conquers the world, some sort of agressive lions captured in a box ...

Anja looks out of place, and MCB that I normally like is completely destroyed ...

very very disappointing campain !
