Hmmm...this is disappointing to me.
I really don't like the fact that they all look so short! I see and understand that they are crouching, but the effect doesn't really read that way, and instead, they all look terribly disproportionate. Additionally, I don't think Anja (no surprise to me) or Mariacarla look that great here...Magda, on the other hand, is looking great, but she always manages to, so, no surprise there.
But overall, it's just too..."fashion." What I love about Lanvin is how real Alber is. He's not a designer who is obsessed with "fashion", he's obsessed with women. To me this looks like a Gucci or Versace ad. I miss the Lanvin ads of a year or two ago and back...they were so different and unique, especially during the Olga era. And to me, those ads really spoke to the vision that was presented on the catwalk. There seems to be a disconnect between what is projected here and what was projected on the catwalk...and I'm not just talking about the black wigs. This is so glossy and over-produced, whereas the runway was very raw and spontaneous.
