Latex Leggings / Leather pants #1

I don't think I like the leather/latex leggings. I think the pants look infinitely more chic. Just something about the texture I suppose.

I just bought a pair... I feel so daring whenever I wear them!

tbh they wwere a really great trend, but the time has come and gone and i think to be wearing them in 2009....is too late. they cant be worked anymore, even the high street stores have pulled them off the shelves well 99% haave. thats saying something as their always a trend behind high fashion.

I haven't seen them much where I live, but also think that they are pretty much done and gone!

I think the latex leggings will disappear from the shelves slowly. However, the leather leggings are probably going to stick around a little longer because I've seen them in some fall previews. I don't mind because I always liked them in leather.

I think that there is a huge difference between latex or just wet look leggings and the leather ones... I agree that it's not time for wet look any more but leather leggings are still good trend

The leather ones have been around for a long time as well. Jitrois was really the pioneer of stretch leather, and he has been doing the look for close to a decade now. (or maybe 6 years or so... )

I really need a pair of leather/faux leather pants that aren't too expensive... I know that H&M had some a while back, I really regret not getting them!

forever21.... u can order online...im not so sure about their international shipping though...

please do not quote images. thank you.

I'm curious to hear opinions of this look. This isn't me [although we're similar in build] but it's a very good idea of the look that I go for with leather pants. One of my friends calls it the "European Tourist" look [which he means tongue in cheek, not as a slight - just FYI]. What I love is that it's none of the stereotypical leather pants images: when I see this ensemble, I don't see "rockstar" , "drug dealer", "S&M", "neo n - - -", "gay", or anything else. But that's me...

How about everyone else?

This outfit looks superb. I want to buy those shiny leather pants so bad. I think men should stop thinking what everyone else think about their clothing and just wear what they want. Sometimes it is hard I know. Personally I wear sometimes quite feminine clothing tight jeans, patent leather pants etc. So some closed minded people can sometimes think I'm gay. I´m not. I don't understand the idea behind it that if I wear tight clothing I'm automatically announced gay. Using that same idea every women wearing business suit should be announced as lesbian.

I bought the H&M patent leather pants this spring. They are actually quite good quality. I haven't seen them in H&M shop here in Finland anymore. But you can find similar ones from ebay.

I'm glad to hear that some folks like that look. For me, it's one of the least "risky" of the various leather pants ensmbles because it dresses up the pants, but it still does turn some heads for sure. I'd guess [i.e. nothing scientific ], judging from the looks on peoples' faces, that somewhere between 10 - 15% of those who take notice either like the look or don't care either way. If I had to subdivide that 15%, I'd say one third, or 5 % of the original whole, like it and the remaining people are "meh", which is fine.

The remaining 85% clearly don't approve at all or are at least too surprised to decide whether they like it or not. I have no way of knowing, but I actually think that there is a significant subgroup of people who, once they've had a chance to "digest" the look, actually come around to seeing it as nice. In fact, I've had that happen a few times with friends and co-workers [<after five minutes pass> "You know, you actually do look good"; "You pull those off", or whatever].

Thank you for the photo because it reminds me of a jersey very similar to the one oh the picture. I can't wait to give it a try.

Spandex plaid / print and metallic

I noticed spandex leggings in prints. Now plaids, zebra, cheetah prints. Also gold and silver metallic. I saw one young woman wearing gold metallic Like 80s solid gold dancers. Another wearing plaid black and yellow leggings . Very noticeable . Amazingly fashionable but needed to be worn with other shirt or jacket. It was only with shirt.

It is not latex for sure. Back in the early 90s My wife and I bought some real latex. Overly expensive and overly delicate. You cannot put it on a hanger. If it touchrd copper it will stain. You cannot wear any oil or ir will ruin it- no perfume or body lotion. It tears easily so pretty much no jewelry. You have to wash it when you take it off and powder it so it does not stick then wash powder off and use latex polish or Armourall to make it shiny. You polish it with your hand. If polished correctly it shines like patent leather. However it fits like second skin and on a woman with a nice body is incredible looking. There is nothing like real latex...

I think it is just some kind of high grade regular material.

Love the skinny leather trousers look, although I have to make do with an aa substitute on my budget. Can't get away with it without heels on too.
