Procuring the perfect outfit for fall festivities becomes a little, shall we say . . . trickier around the end of October. For last-minute inspiration, we asked our It girls to divulge their Halloween costumes and evening plans. And don’t forget—Daylight Savings Time ends on November 1 this year, meaning a treat for all: one extra hour of merriment. Lauren Santo Domingo will be celebrating at the GoldBar dressed in a shaggy fur Elizabeth & James gilet, a LBD, and Pamela Love horns– a chic character redux from Where The Wild Things Are.

Our Lady of 1,000 Dresses: Lauren Santo Domingo

We're not kidding. Vogue contributing editor and infrequent outfit repeater Lauren Santo Domingo probably has at least that many frocks in her walk-in closet. LSD attends so many parties in so many looks because she's in equal demand on the gala circuit (outfit option: Chanel) and the downtown scene (outfit option: Balmain). And to be fair, she has no problem with outfit repeating. She wore the same ruched Altuzarra dress on Fashion's Night Out and to the Whitney Art Party, among other events, and lived to blog the tale.
Source: style.com/vogueAlexa Rodulfo (center) is the beloved hair and makeup artist to all the girls. So much so that sometimes she has to host a whole crew before an event, which is not only more fun but also the best evidence of her talents. It’s also lucky that many of her devotées—from Margherita Missoni to Fabiola Beracasa and Vogue’s Meredith Melling Burke—are friends and don’t mind sharing. “She’s the only person I know who can do my hair and makeup in 45 minutes flat,” says newlywed Ivanka Trump, who hosted cocktails in Rodulfo’s honor Wednesday night at her Madison Avenue jewelry boutique. Fans from Lauren Santo Domingo (above left) and Bonnie Morrison to Zani Gugelmann all gathered to toast Rodulfo’s new trio of candles—in sexy, smoky scents like Bois Blanc, Bois Sauvage, and Bois d’Amour—which have already found their way onto some of the chicest coffee tables in Manhattan. Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner, favors the original cedarwood-and oak-moss-scented Bois d’Alexa, and confessed bookworm Lisa Airan (“I just got a Kindle!”) dubbed Bois Sauvage, in mahogany-colored glass, “the library one” for its wood, rum, and leather scent. Why candles before, say, cosmetics? “I’ve always been fascinated by the science of fragrance,” says Rodulfo, who made pilgrimages to Grasse during the three years it took to create the scents. “You can be in the ugliest place, but if you have a scent that reminds you of somewhere beautiful, you will be okay.”
