Animal Prints

I like pieces with a LITTLE animal print accent, but not an entire piece. For example, a shirt that is 100% animal print, no, but if a pair of sandals have a strap with animal print on it, I am good with that.

ooh! Scary Spice!!!

I wouldn't call it a trend because it never seems to go away. I agree done in small doses, especially with an ironic twist it can be really good. Look at what Nuiko is wearing today--HOTHOTHOT!!. They have to be done well, for example that M by MJ lepoard trench from last year was sooooo bad. It drives me crazy to see people mix up prints like they just got back from safari. Especially in their homes. Even though I have leopard sheets, I never have both fitted and flat sheets on the bed at the same time, and I mix it with a cool 50s printed bedspread so it looks more mod.

I adore animal print  i agree that its pretty much a classic.

i have some pieces...a blouse, 2 pairs of shoes, a bag...i cant wait to get some of those celine animal print pieces :woot:

One word: NO. To me, prints are just tacky. But that's just me. :)

Agreed :).

woman in a coffee shop this morning: black tank, black pleated a-line skirt, short dark denim blazer, leopard clutch with matching leopard sling backs. i think that animal prints just like everything can look right in the right outfit with the right person, however i won't do it not bc i think there's anything wrong with it, but bc i've done that whole thing back in the days of the dolce gabbana animal print EVERYTHING. i still wear my zebra lined dolce blazer but i've learned my lesson. the stuff just dates too quickly.

well-i bought a cream/blk zebra print silk tunic-y style blouse from see by choe...so i guess it's growing on me...

I love naturally colored zebra print grey!!! Off-white and ebony colored stripes looks so great.

I have to admit I really want a blazer with a black and white cow print  And I love my zebra printed bra and matching g-string ;)

but like everyone is saying here, it's really really tacky when there's too much! I own a bag with a leapord print that I bought when I was 14, I'd concider using it again if I had maching shoes for example but animal prinst usually don't do it for me :)

I wouldn't really call it a trend, I mean, leopard print is pretty classic as far as a print goes. The popularity rises and falls every few seasons, but animal prints are pretty much a staple.

agreed :flower:

I love that as well, YSL had a few pieces of zebra print things last season that were beautiful

If it's worn with a little irony and a lot of style, animal print can look damn cool. Though I guess that can be said about anything.....

Why thank you grey ;) I'm feeling zebra for an idea I'm working on for s/s 05.

I don't mind animal prints if done extremely tastefully and in small doses.

OK, I love this one I bought a month ago..
It looks really good if you can wear it with the right things...

I love the look of leopard prints..but it has to look real..the spots and the colour..if it doesn't it immediately looks tacky.
I dislike cow prints and zebra..mainly because I'm not big on black/white pattern combos.
