well, now that boombox is gone, people flock to Circus.

i really like the girl's outfit on the left in post 848.
i tuck my scarf inside my jacket as well, with the fringes coming out of the jacket! i walked pass that bus restrurant many times, but i never ate there, it looks really cool though

^
I also wear my scarves this way. I like how it looks plus it keeps you warmer.

I didn't realize that old routemaster is a restaurant. Where is it?

^ haha, i didnt think much about it being a fashion statement or whatever, but like you said, it kept warm and also i like my jacket so i didnt want my scarf covering my jacket

it's like...hum....in this open area beside brick lane. you know how there is an alley way with these bagel stops and cafes and some independent shops, you walk through the alley way to the other side which is an open area with more indie shops and you should see this old routemaster opposite to the shops. there is also a pretty nice vintage shop around the corner too.

edit: honestly, i only noticed it one time when it was dark all around. it's funny how even though the bus is bright red, it didnt pop out at you, in a way, it's kinda "hidden" even though there really isnt anything blocking it's view. haha

Do you mean Hanbury St.? To be fair, I've never gone further than the beigel place on Brick Lane since i only ever go there to get my hair cut on Cheshire St....

yes, i heard about circus. alistair is also there.
what about durr? rory philips residency could be also
a quite good thing:)

off topic, but i´ve seen your drawings at myspace. and i really love them. you are on university of arts for CSM..which is...?

cheers,
sirdorian

boombox was boombox. circus is circus.. its different. more over the top and outrageous. can be fun, but it sometimes feels a bit too try hard.. what with the clowns and pole dancing.
And durrr is good minus the bloody fog machines. oh, and its a bit more of a straight crowd i'd say... (more so than boombox/circus at least)

The Rootmaster is in the old truman brewery carpark... reached by drays walk (public beware, cafe 1001, vision, big chill etc) or the street by absolute vintage off hanbury.

do you go to taylor taylor? are they very good?
they're a bit out my student budget.. but i'd like to know future reference..

haha is that what it's called? The rootmaster? For some reason I can never seem to quite get to the truman brewery....but then again I've never tried since that area is not my scene. I know the street off hanbury by absolute vintage though.

It's funny in Grazia they had the goodbye boombox thing and they had a pic of aggy with kabir (a friend and poster on this forum though he's not around anymore) and it made me laugh

edit: yeah I do go to taylor taylor. There is a London Hair Salon thread where I seem to be constantly bigging it up. I think they are pretty well priced though? I don't know since I see Bradley (Taylor) and he sets his own prices so i've no idea what the others cost (edit: just checked and it's 48 quid and up). I understand, I'm a student too and my parents always give me sh*t for spending so much on a haircut but since my hair grows slowly and it's such a great experience for me it's worth it. Sorry I just rave and rave about Taylor Taylor.....

yea, pomegranates explained it better on where it is.

sorry bit off topic here but, please circus has been busy once since boombox has finished and thats because peaches was there in my opinion circus is full of people who dont get into boombox, they're more cyberdog like/ goth. its probably one of the worst clubs in london though i did go on friday
Durrr is the same as trash but without resident dj Erol Alkan.

back on topic, is it just me or is it that the people that ivan takes photographs of mostly look the same (woah that was bad grammar)?

^^ Umm, yes, Yvan seems to photograph people more based on..
A: How attractive he finds them.
B: How original/hipster/quirky etc etc they try to look.

BORING. No offence to anyone who's been on Facehunter :ninja:
He just creeps me out...:innocent:
