I personally ADORE the new Damier, I have to see it in person before I decide that I officially love it but so far, so good. They did a great job refreshing the Damier, and there are no fakes of it...Yet...

to make my question clear here is an old looking bag and a new one, I love the old looking leather.

Aris - some of the changes in color will happen due to wear but the leather trim on the vintage LV bags was darker to begin with...more tan than the light beige it currently is...so the new bags will age differently.

Thanks, Hebden, I didnt know that. But I did notice the vachetta getting lighter and lighter every year. It's almost the color of paper now.

@aris: the old leather on the papillions was dyed dark brown to begin with, but in the lilo pic she's carrying a bag that has aged (light vachetta getting tan from sun, oxygen, sweat from the hands, rain...) [I've read that this particular bag is a fake, but the vachetta looks real, so anyway...]

I think the only reason you're seeing the vachetta getting lighter and lighter now is because they sell faster. I can imagine that some stuff sat in the store for many months and thus getting Patina (the brownish color), now that everyone buys LV the bags don't have that much time to tan in the store

Thank you. I took my LV Alma out of the dust bag and I just let it stay uncovered. It looks to me that's is getting darker.

^ I think it is limited edition and hard to get hold off. They had that at Selfridges and I saw a lady trying it on. Personally for me its just too big.

dont' know if this is the right spot to post this but i was just in the wynn las vegas LV store yesterday...they had one of those adorable speedy bag charms that's fairly large and was for their very important customers. the rest of us can purchase one for 900 dollars! eek.

also the SA informed me there will be a price increase november 1.

When was it that you saw it? Long time ago? Is it worth the price tag?

I saw it a few weeks ago, maybe a month ago by now? Im not sure if they still have it now because they change their displays. Its hard for me to judge if its worth the price, I didnt get a proper look of it or try it on.

I think Im then only one who is not a fan of the damier azure collection. Im not keen on the checked print.
