does anyone know about the patina on damier speedy leather trimmings?

Why do you want to get that "patina" on your LV bag so soon? What is wrong with a brand new looking bag? My black LV epi bucket was sooo stiff and matte when I bought it that it looked as if it was made of rubber, not leather. However, I want to keep it that way as long as possible, it still smells new after three months of heavy use (it's my working bag). I love the appearance of anything new. My bag is so beautiful it looks like a piece of architecture .

because it looks used, like an old friend that has gone through lots of stuff with you. I love how the yellow stitching pops up when the leather is so dark and the whole color combination if it has patinaed but that's just me

Who owns a LV Monogram Mini Alma Long? Is it nice to use? I found one in cherry on Ebay and might buy it, but I'd like to know what you think of it.

My sister arrived back home today after a business trip in HK, where she purchased a Mono Speedy 25.I guess she didn't do a thorough enough inspection at the store, because today, upon more careful inspection, she noticed that the under-side and the ends of the handles are already showing signs of creasing. I thought the creasing was due to the fact that she already started using the bag, but she confirmed that she only took the bag out of its original packaging today and that she did not use it at all in HK.

Is it normal for a brand new bag to show some signs of creasing, or did she get a pre-used/returned bag?

um...because that seam is set on a curve, i dont think the leather could technically be perfectly smooth. looks fine to me.

I second that, it's due to the smooth almost plastic like finish of the leather that the curve will cause creasing
