What does everyone think of the monogram dentelle range? I bought the dentelle speedy the other day and I really love it, its my first LV bag and I wanted to get a classic bag model so the speedy was my first choice.
 
i got a stupid question: i painted my windows with varnish paint, and somehow i messed up my speedy with the paint...how can i remove the paint without messing up my bag?
 
Does anybody know how much this cute heart purse costs?

If you're in Europe, you can check the french website. It lists all the prices in Euro. The US American site does that too in US-Dollars.

It's listed at 235 Euros. But when you're not in France, prices might be slightly different. Like, the Soana Sacoche GM costs 1800, but here in Vienna, it's 1890. So, small changes, but not a lot.

In other news: Is it just me or is the Dentelle leather pre-patina'd/darker than the standard leather on Monogram canvas?

I am soo annoyed with LV customer service. I called their 1800# because I was having issues with a monogram groom long wallet that I had bought less than 6 months ago. The paint along the edges is chipping off and I had brought it to the store and called their 1800# to address the issue. The store told me it was just normal wear and tear and the CS rep was like "well...its paint its, its normal for it to come off"...and pretty much dea l with it. WTF? you don't buy something and expect it to fall apart!!!! they could have at least offered a store credit, repair....SOMETHING!!!! but they're basically telling me to just live with it. I am very disappointed with LV....I don't even want to get anything from there anymore!
 
I've just seen the price for the plastic shopping bag from this season (you know, the huge, red & blue & white one?).... and I had to laugh uncontrolably!

They charge 1,900 Euros!!! For a plastic bag!!! Which can be bought on any chinese market for a lousy Euro! (even then it's still overcharged!)

It's a plastic shopping bag! Like the one homeless carry all their belongings in! PLASTIC! FOR 1,900 EUROS! NO EXOTIC LEATHER TRIM! PLASTIC for CRYING OUT LOUD! 1,900 Euros!!!

My Sacoche GM out of Kanga leather and costs less!

Vuitton is overcharging on plastic, fo rizzle y'all!

You are so right - it is ridiculous. My mom used such bags for laundry and empty bottles :lol: , but they didn't cost 1,900 €..... It is really too much when designers copy normal stuff and overprice it.
 
designer bags are getting more ridiculous everyday. Chanel is increasing prices just to get more exclusive. well the particular bag you pictured was featured in a magazine where they told you how to "do it yourself", get one of those cheapie plastic bags and paint the logo over it... makes you wonder how much they really cost in production.

BTW there's the rumor that prices will go up 6% again in April

Which color dentelle did you get? I got the gold speedy and love it! I've used it a couple of times and get compliments all the time, the threading dresses it up nicely IMO :)

Do you mean making the bag by yourself or how much they really cost?

Well as for the first I'd have to look up a thread on another forum.
I've heard from a boardmember that there was a documentation in french about the LV plants: the workers only get the SMIC (french for minimum payment) and they usually can't even afford the bags they make since they have bills to pay. I couldn't find anything about the documentation on the internet though, so I can't really say if it's true. If it is, you can figure out how much goes to Monsieur Arnault :innocent:

I have the gold too and I chose it over the silver even though the SA said he preferred the silver :heart: I have only carried my bag once so far..but I agree, I definitely love the threading and I think the dentelle is my favourite line so far since usually Im not into LV :flower:
I did see a lady when I was at a restaurant tonight and when she carried it (she had silver) it looked stunning.
 
^I like the contrasting of the gold better :) I initially wanted the silver before seeing it in person but my SA urged me to get on the list for the gold instead, and I'm glad I did. The silver has become available to walk-ins now, and the gold is still waitlist here.

I think gold looks a tiny bit more special. I bought the last one at the store too :heart:

Has anyone seem those huge lambskin bags, I think one of the bags in the line was called the Nimbus. I cant find the name of that line on the LV website but they were oversized, made of lambskin and this creamy offwhite/brown color. the one I was looking at had handles that were imitation ivory and this chunky intertwined leather that looked like pretzels. I'm on the fence about it, if anyone has an opinion on them I'd love to hear it! <3
