I love the Epi line- it's understated and the leather is great quality. I'm not crazy about the speedy in the epi and nomade, although I like it in the damier and monogram. I think the style of the speedy is just too casual for those leathers.

epi is also fab in ivoire ;)

Could anyone advise me on the epi speedy, particularly the 25? I would love to get one in ivoire for summer, totally smitten with the color , but I am worried about the way the zipper is inset on these bags. Seems like it would be hard to get things in and out of and might not hold as much easily.

hi eliot
epi 25 speedies are a little bit larger than mono/damier canvas. i too was concerned about the opening but i think it is just fine now :) it definitely holds a LOT :D
i hope you get the ivoire! it is so gorgeous!

Woah.. that Epi Papillon style bag in the ivory colour is incredible! I'd no idea they made those in a different shape. :woot:

Anyway, I came here as I've a question regarding the Speedy 30's and 35's.. I've a 25 at the mo, but would like a larger version too for everyday use. The 30 seems a bit close to the size of the 25 to bother getting, but the 35 sounds rather a lot larger and am worried it would just look like an enormous mass of monogram hanging off my arm!

For those who own either, could you comment please on it's size and versatility for everyday use. Does the 35 ever feel too big?

Also, are these pics (both firstview) of Speedy's 30 or 35 please (for perspective!)?

Huh,.... I dunno bout them smaller pic, but the one in the bigger pic looks like a 40. There are 4 monograms aligned horizontally.

Me likes :flower: When it comes to bag, IMO the bigger the better (except when it's for evening wear, then a small cute clutch or a 2.55 is perfect)

frankie~ i have the 30 and honestly, it's the perfect size. i've seen the 25 and it's pretty tiny....i can put everything i need into my speedy and still have room : example pherhaps? try a sweater, waterbottle, magazine, sketchbook, wallet, cell, makeup[ bag, and it all fits nicely. i think the 35 goes into overnight/luggage size and if you're not a tall person, it may look a bit much...just my opinion though...

I'm 5'1 and have the 35, honestly I sometimes feel it's too small :P can't fit a 15' notebook in it. and thick hard folders won't fit too. I have to roll my A4 uni skripts to get them in. BUT it is nice as a weekender to fit 1-2 pair of pants, a pullover and some shirts, and other stuff (toiletries, undies, socks). for uni it sometimes gets too heavy because you can fit smaller books into it and a water bottle and the endless list goes on...

Thanks everyone. (and hi, Jun! *waves* )

Ambi, the 35 is big enough to use as a weekender?! I already have the Andrea Brueckner Hamptons Overnighter and Weekender that are big enough and that I use for that, so perhaps the 30 would be right for everyday and work or shopping use. I don't want to look like I'm carrying luggage, but on the other hand I'm 5'7" so bigger bags don't swamp me too much, and I do love larger bags. I guess asking the question was more a case of me wondering if all that monogram on a large bag would look a bit much.. I really need to see one IRL, but living where I do it's impossible!

To be honest when it comes to Speedy's I think higher than 25 starts to look alot like a Keepall.

I adore the Epi Ivoire, looove the color. Also, maybe it's a new color I havent seen, but I saw a woman w/ a pale purple Epi Alma, god that thing was so gorgeous. My fav Epi is still the emerald green.

Is France the cheapest country for LV?

On their French site the price of a speedy 25 Epi is 560 Euro as opposed to USD$840/622 Euro (eLuxury)

Has anyone bouth directly from the LV site? Does their advertised price include tax? Do you have to pay the tax component if you are not from France?
