Louis Vuitton S/S 08 Paris

Can't wait for the video! I wonder what the music will be like...I hope there's some Spongebob theme song remixed into it! (like SS 06, which was genius!)

it would be interesting to see these models walking to

'he lives in pineapple under the sea' etc.
But i really dont think spongebob is the best inspiration for louis vuitton, unless there are bags with him on then i will reconsider

Maybe this collection is about all of what went on in rehab.....Spongebob indulgence and bombshell hospital help? :ermm:

(I liked him better on drugs :ninja:)

This is the biggest hodgepodge I've ever seen. Randomness incarnate...

Rei's collection has nothing on this right now, and to top it all off the clothes look sloppy!

I like the spraypainted bustier dresses in the opening lineup, they look promising.

But jeez, this has gotten worse since I was in here an hour ago.

edit- Sal, you are onto something!!!!

well this is super fun

i don't mind some kind of entertainment to drag me out of various marvellous shows to take a breath

The cartoon bags are cute...but the pricetag would reduce that cute factor pretty quickly. Who's going to pay LV prices for a joke?

I'm thinking this is more what he remembers before he went into rehab. When you're high, I think the most entertaining show is Spongebob. And maybe when he first got to rehab, he thought all the nurses were sexy models? I dunno...

What is going on with Marc Jacobs?

This is not acceptable,i actually liked his line but for LV?Come on,its so similar the see through stuff, those dresses. Only accessories save his behind, and we all know he has a great team for that.MARC pleaseee SNAP OUT OF IT!!! :( He must be running out of creative ideas,or he simply dosent give a s*it anymore.

this is random but i thought it was funny and i agree w/what dana thomas says

October 7, 2007 -- FASHION journalists are buzzing over how Newsweek's Dana Thomas was banned from today's Louis Vuitton ready-to-wear show in Paris. Thomas apparently struck a nerve at the 150-year-old leather goods house with her best-selling book, "Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster." She wrote, "Vuitton is the McDonald's of the luxury industry: it's far and away the leader, brags of millions sold, has stores at all the top tourist sites - usually steps away from a McD's - and has a logo as recognizable as the Golden Arches." The International Herald Tribune's Suzy Menkes was banned from Dior a few years ago and the New York Times' Cathy Horyn from Dolce & Gabbana last winter, both after writing reviews that displeased the brands. Calls to Vuitton reps in New York and Paris weren't returned. Thomas had no comment. Chances are, however, the ban won't last forever. "Menkes is back at Dior now," our source told us. Other luxury brands, meanwhile, seem unperturbed by Thomas's book. She was spotted at the Christian Dior and Hermes shows earlier in the week.

I think no matter how harsh and brutal the reviews of a certian fashion journalists are,its such nonsene to ban them, its their freaking job!

it's like "you didn't like Marc Jacobs??? Well you're gonna hate Louis Vuitton, too... or you're just some stupid freaks...."
honestly it's the same...
and I think this is the first time, non???? It's like a marcvuitton collection

Fabulous shoes, and the purses areq uite nice. I love the lineup with the nurses as well, but then the actual clothes? Disaster. I see no theme, nothing to tie it all together. It's like a story with no real plot.
What a mess.....
