This season Marc Jacobs was inspired by a box of crayons...

On another note: Why is Marc Jacobs turning me on? This never happened before.

ha! This is a treat! I like it a lot! normally I hate LV.

As it turns out, the photo in W was a preview of Prince's latest project, a series of paintings of white-uniformed nurses based on the covers of pulp-fiction paperbacks from the '50s and '60s..

I have no idea what's up with sponge bob at the moment besides the sponge bob dance

The link to the video isn't working for me. It just sends me to the catalog page. Is anyone getting the video page?

I love it when MJ goes crazy with the colour palette (i.e. LV SS06 and here)

And I absolutely loved the entrance! :woot:

By some stroke of dumb luck, I found the video...you have to click on the Men's Fall/Winter 2007/2008 show to see the current women's collection...!

I get a feeling of Alexander McQueen at Givenchy from this... it's OK to go crazy on your own label, but for an established fashion house? I'm not sure.

That video made me smile.^_^ Seeing the video and hearing the music, I can honestly say that I like the collection now.

^ I saw that in the pic! I was thinking it may have been directed at Menkes.

Just like this show--Childish.

marc, darling.

the minute i saw the first photo i thought "people are going to just hate this"

as much as i loved it all (i was a huge fan of his own label as well) i'm really struggling with who the vuitton customer is now. when i think of vuitton i think of luxury, wealth, and sleekness (which i did not get from this collection at all)

it reminded me of girl, interrupted and one flew over the cuckoo's nest. it's a little too similar to the mj show especially with the dress that alana zimmer is wearing but the heels look so promising.

it's as if now that marcs sober his clothes have become his drug trip.

The bags and shoes are great, and there are a few pieces in the clothing that could certainly be worked with. The styling, however, is vomit inducing. :)

I thought that Jacobs was the first one to do a r-t-w collection for vuitton so if that's true which it may not be then Vuitton is not a established fashion house. So Jacobs is the heritage in a sense. Now as far as the show goes, the styling is absolutely awful. I haven't really gotten a sense oof the vuitton customer in general though for a while. I've always kind of gotten the sense that someone might say, "Oh, I liked that look from the Louis Vuitton show this season" so then they might go buy it but I don't really see them having loyal followers for their clothing.
