Marc By Marc Jacobs, Spring/summer 05

I don't LOVE it, but I don't hate it. Its disappointing though... I usually adore Marc Jacobs everything. The colors are too brash I think. I prefer the more vintage cuts in his earlier designs.

I really like some of the shoes though. And the accessories. And that print, if it were in different colors. Very... DIY look I think.

Do I see "pointless" written all over it?
Oh! the colours

OMG I am so stupid, I was actually taking a look at some of the pieces to find the word pointless on it

I actually like it a lot. I like the baggy and shaplessness of the garments. I get so tired of clothes that frames the breasts and hips. It reminds me a lot of Bernhard Wilhem. I say yay for Marc! He is doing something new and interesting and those clothes are really pretty.

How....boring. I'm surprised because I usually love Marc by Marc..

Too bad all of the jewel tones couldn't carry into spring.. I'm in love with rich blues, purples, and greens.

Whats with all this washed out crap. :(

There's going to be some fabulous 15 year old with more than a little cash and a hot little vacation spot to go to and she's going to look a million bucks in this stuff. I love how it seems almost anti pretty without sacrificing EnergY, the kind of feeling these kids walk around with in the guts knowing that they can own the world, they have what no one can ever buy: Time. It's dangerous, thrilling, and yet very stupid and awkward at the same time. I thought the signature collection was too reserved; this is the stuff that Marc built his reputation on. There will be people from all walks of life who'll be able to find something that fits them, very rare.

ditto on the nightmarish shoes...and duckie re-visited...

now i see the obis...more what i call a sash belt...because it's looser and at the hips...but i see it...VERY VERY marni...and of course she does it better...but all the cool girls are into marni now so marc had to do something...LOL...all my friends have been calling and saying...it's so 'YOU'...and i normally don't like anything marc...

maybe it's a new turn for him...starting with vuitton f/w 04/05...this is definitely a new direction for marc...and so maybe now a new customer...???...i could get into that... :innocent:

I don't really like it, but it's better that the Marc Jacobs collection
I like the way it all looks fun and relaxed though :flower:

:o  I was going to write the same thing!

paprika!!!...nice to see you...hope you're doing well!!! :flower:

the Marc girl and guy need to grow up. Like someone had posted earlier - the early Marc by Marc collections seemed more "adult". The line has progressively become more childlike in terms of colors and styling - more geared to trust-bank babies. There are VERY FEW individuals that can pull off these looks

I quite liked this collection, which I usually don't. However, I didn't like the Marc Jacobs show, which I usually love. Wierd.

I don't know about you guys but I love Marc Jacobs. It's rare that I love everything a designer puts out, but with him, it's like that. I just love Marc Jacobs.

<3 Me.

I loved the bright colors and although this collection wasn't as thrilling or as groundbreaking as his Marc Jacobs fall collection I do think a lot of these pieces are incredibly wearable and will continue to be worn by the people who buy them for years to come. I love this outfit:

I also like the printed skirts and dresses like this one:
