Yes the runway collection is still exclusive to BG. I think the commercial Marc Jacobs collection, different from Heaven has more stockists though.

I just couldn't watch this video til the end, even if i I have to give it to Marc: he's on par with Rick Owens as one of the most articulate designers out there.
But those nails, they were just too much.
They seemed to me a potent symbol of everything wrong with Marc and other designers of his generation (and not just designers, to be honest) : Gen Xers unable to cope with adulthood, desperate to be relevant and to be liked by kids.

OMG...once I saw the nails I could hear the sound from nails scratching a blackboard. Middle school nightmares...

The CD at Chanel will not "work on tweed".
Most of CDs nowadays can't even sew...
They give moodboards, inspirations... validate other people's work...
They sometimes design (sometimes!), like Karl drawing with his fingers burdened by heavy rings...

He is not going to Chanel and the nails have nothing to do with that.

Marc is a tender soul, I wish him the best.

But, except for the last second, it was a crime to show all those icons in black and white, knowing the importance of gold and colour in this type of painting.

Marc is showing you he doesn't lift anything.
He doesnt do any manual labor.
He can have 7" inch nails because he hasn't had to pic anything up himself in 20 years.

That's what he's showing you. Nothing more than that.

Any relevance to the trend of long nails is a misunderstanding of Marc. He is telling you he is literally precious.
