There were as many as 65 models backstage hours before the Marc Jacobs fashion show Monday night and one thing was certain — each had a different hair look.
WWD

65 models?! :woot: How did they manage to get the whole show done in 8 minutes?

this feels so costume-ish and somehow really bad but also really fun and great (i love some of the dresses and the coats i've seen so far)

so, overall, i think im gonna love it

it looks like jem , the holograms and the misfits came to life LOL

I love the pointy shoulders on one sweater, and the bright coloured coats (especially the pink one with the hood!). I don't like the jacket in post #56 thought, that one's a bit too much for me.

I like this very much!
I can not wait to see how Marc take this 80's inspiration for Louis Vuitton!

From the Times: "Jacobs said backstage that he can't fix the economy,so he might as well have a good time." That sounds about right... I think the collection is very fun, great colors... I can't wait to see more of the knits. I wonder how Vogue Paris will interpret this.

I just don't understand...what did Marc really think he could bring to the 1980's neon clubber look that would really freshen it up and make it totally modern? I love Marc, but I just don't understand what prompted him to do a collection inspired by such a tacky period in fashion history. Sure the 1980's were fun (even though I wasn't alive to experience them!), but this dolled up Cindy Lauper look is only really fun for one night, then it gets really old and really nauseating.

This look is getting so incredibly stale I just can't handle it anymore. I know he just "wanted to have fun," but couldn't he have done fun in a more fun way? Last season was fun...it was vibrant, lively, optimistic...this is all just tacky, dated and silly...
